9 months after devastation of the Carr fire, I returned to my home town of Redding and took my camera around to some of the areas that were burnt. There were still remains of rock ash (the fire was so hot that some of the rocks turned to ash), and fallen trees, but some areas are turning green again.

The following is from Wikipedia: The Carr Fire was a large wildfire that burned in Shasta and Trinity Counties in California, United States. The fire burned 229,651 acres (92,936 ha; 359 sq mi), before it was 100% contained late on August 30, 2018. The Carr Fire destroyed at least 1,604 structures (at least 1,077 were homes) while damaging 277 others,[1] becoming the sixth-most destructive fire in California history (now the seventh-most destructive fire),[6] as well as the seventh-largest wildfire recorded in modern California history.

A strong red tide along the San Diego County coastline is causing brilliant neon blue bioluminescence that's visible at night as tiny light-producing organisms get stirred up as the waves break.

I so want something to wear with these shoes! I've had these for over a year... I begged and begged my husband to buy these for me, but at the time I was around 7 months prego and could barely walk in flats...lol Anyway, he ended up buying them for me, but I've never wore them. I can't seem to find an outfit good enough for them. I'm absolutely in love, but have yet to show them...

Red Tulips

Looking up into the big blue sky that appeared today plus a few red tulips. The weather has warmed up and it definitely feels like Spring this afternoon.
