Testing a augmented reality marketing campaign on web. In my hand I'm holding a paper with a orientation mark. Everything else is created by the web page. The 3D scenery moves as I move the paper.
To try it out, you need a web cam and Flash 10 plugin in your browser.
The bright spot is not a camera flash reflection, but a virtual sun moving over the virtual scene
Reality Is Malleable - We were out here chatting for maybe five minutes before we noticed there was a hammer hanging on the piece. Upon closer inspection we noticed there we lots of hammer marks on the metalic plate. So we figured you were encouraged to hit the peice with the hammer. It was very satisfying. Most Burning Man art is like this. Each piece has layers and more depth than first appears. So remember to always dive in. This is especially true if your internal judgemental voice says something negative. Also, nice to meet you!
Augmented Reality, or AR, is a general term for manipulating our experience of the world around us with technology. Today it means pointing your smartphone camera at a restaurant and getting reviews. Tomorrow it might mean complete immersion into a customizable version of reality via 3D stereoscopic camera/video headsets.

"Dreaming a Reality - Senses Fail"
Dreaming my reality
where truth and fiction don't seem to exist
Confusion is home here, but believe in you is what you insist (it's what you insist)
Well I try and i won't get far,
i'll die and i won't get far
i'll try and know that everything's ok
I have no idea why there's a British flag in this. I thought it looked good, haha.
Expectation vs. Reality

My friend Michael Naimark is exploring new ideas for virtual reality experiences, in collaboration with Google and other researchers. To discuss this work, we got together with two other colleagues, Steve Gano and Jim McKee -- with whom we worked at the Apple Multimedia Lab in the eighties, pushing the envelope on related questions.
We started with a tour of the historic Sentinel Building in North Beach, home of American Zoetrope -- where Francis Coppola worked on many cinematic masterpieces like The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. We checked out the underground screening room and sound mixing room where some of that work took place, then headed upstairs to Michael and Jim’s studios, for a wonderful conversation about the new VR frontier.
Michael and his colleagues are researching how people are represented in virtual reality. Their first experiment at Google’s “Big Chairs” Park led to some helpful guidelines on how to film people for VR, by using different camera angles and distances.
They’re also investigating ‘hyper-images’ that resemble a group of people, but that are shot at different times and composited together to create both ‘credible’ and ‘incredible’ pictures. To enable more experiments like these, Michael is developing ‘IMU VR’, a new type of camera that could make it easier for communities to tell their stories in VR. More on this later.
It was great to reconnect with my colleagues and brainstorm these ideas together. It felt like the good old days, and the creative juices were flowing all over again ...

By using famous AR technology, now students can learn anything even if they are outside the classroom in an entertaining way. Distance learning program are more easier and Augmented Reality teaching help in increasing engagement towards studies. @ yeppar.com/augmented-reality-education.html

Quantum physics is showing some pretty weird things about the nature of reality these days. This however, has nothing to do with that, but rather too much beer on a night in town, and a photo I have no recollection of taking,,, an accidental one for sure! The effect I thought is interesting enough not to delete it anyway! PS Does "Drunk Photography" count as a proper tag? PPS I think that is the path down there.....
This is me with too much spare time and procrastinating about picking up and putting stuff where it should go while thinking up stupid captions to put with my photos that nobody will read anyway.
AUGMENTED REALITY, SENSORS and IoT.
Augmented reality is already making changes in many different industries.
Unfortunately, we do not see too much reliable, inexpensive and white-label solutions related to Health Care.
This our story:
The patient lies on the hospital bed, as the doctor passing by. He is wearing glasses that look like completely regular.
The doctor looking at the patient chest, examining her condition. The Heart Rate data, Skin Temperature, Respiratory Rate and RR interval appears on a computer monitor nearby patient, but this time there is no need to turn his head towards monitor, because he can see all data in front of his eyes. There is no reason to get close to the patient or his monitor, just look at the patient from the distance up to 15 meters and the data pop-up automatically.
It was a completely new challenge for Mircod Team to adapt all existing Mircod IoT modules and prototypes to be able to visualize data not only on any mobile devices, smart TV’s and on regular computers, but also to create a true, hands-free augmented reality solution. The final solution can project digital scenes with regard to Mircod ECG patches on what we see and prepare or alerts nurses and doctors on different biometric changes, patients portfolio, historical data etc….
AR in education changes the way to learns anything in a practical manner as it visualises 3D models in the real environment. Using Augmented reality in education increases students presence in the classes and also it helps in interacting students towards study. For more: yeppar.com/augmented-reality-education.html

Video games and virtual reality are all the rage these days, and Santa has his own VR studio where his E.L.F. N.E.R.D.s create and program video games.
But something's gone wrong, and the characters from the virtual world are breaking through (literally!) into our world. While two N.E.R.D.s battle with VR helmets and sticks on the green-screen stage, the suddenly alive knights are running amok around the workshop.
As we were walking by, these reenactors were clustered around the older man and his family. He was a REAL WWII vet and these guys were clearly enthusiastic about talking to him and hearing his stories. It was very heartwarming.
