With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;

To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,

And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;

To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells

With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,

And still more, later flowers for the bees,

Until they think warm days will never cease,

For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells. --To Autumn. by John Keats

This photo portrays reality in a sense of way of how housing can be clustered. In addition, an ordinary home would have less meters than that outside. I dont like this photo merely because it's not eye-catching or doesn't have anything relevant shown. I like how I can say a lot about it and tell you my beliefs. This picture reminds me of a home in a third-world country since they don't have the technological advances to have everything easily accessible or just one meter for everything. The studium is a boy watching over his home. You can tell that he can't wait to leave home since he's still wearing his PJ's, assuming that he just woke up. It shows how life at home for him is and how he anticipates the day by looking out the window. The punctum would be the four holes on the upper right corner of the photo. I choose this because it made me wonder what's the use of it? Is it a ventilation? The white threaded substance is blocking a hole. Is it preventing something from entering?

English:

30 years ago, on the second half of february, the impact of these words cannot be translated. After the reading of these words I entered in some kind of altered state. I was at a book store, downtown of Rio de Janeiro, late afternoon, and decided to walk. I lost my memory. When I finally got at home it was late night. The first thing that I went to see was the weird drawings that I was making since 1981. They were badly packed in a drawer, most of them cut in pieces. For two years those drawings only made me feel an unbelivable strangeness. But now, february of 1983, I could understand the nostalgia I felt when moving my hand to outline those human forms. And I fell to my knees, shamed with myself, and I it was the most painful crying that I ever remember.

I have to say that the emotional experience of remembering Vittoria's death was far beyond my juvenile reality. The comprehension offered by these words could seem foolish today when compared to the ocean of self-discovering that I went through on the following years. But it's not.

Reminding me today of who I was at 22, that young man is like an old friend who I never saw again. And on this 30 years celebration, I really want to say something to him, the 22 year-old Eurico:

DUDE, YOU WERE RIGHT!!! YOU WERE RIGHT ALL THE TIME!!! EVERY SINGLE CONCLUSION THAT YOU CAME UP WITH WERE RIGHT!!! EVERYTHING THAT YOUR FEELING BROUGHT TO YOU WAS PURE SPIRITY LIGHT!!!

TODAY, STEP BY STEP, THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL HAVE TO SWALLOW YOU AND ALL YOUR INNER TRUTH!!!

CONGRATULATIONS, 22 YEAR-OLD EURICO, YOU WON THE SPIRITUAL WAR AGAINST THE OUTER WORLD!!!

YOU WON, DUDE!!! YOU WON!!!

Eu perdi a memória.

Augmented reality in iPhone

The climate, why do I care ?

HANK WILLIS THOMAS

'Blind Memory' and 'Freedom Isn't Always Beautiful'

Feb. 21 - Aug. 20, 2017

The SCAD Museum of Art presents "Blind Memory," a site-specific installation by Hank Willis Thomas in the museum’s Jewel Boxes exhibited concurrently with his exhibition "Freedom Isn’t Always Beautiful" in the Walter O. Evans Center for African American Studies.

Four new works in the exhibition explore the history of the museum complex as a railway depot and its relationship to the agricultural and labor practices of the past. Through the display of commodities that were exported from Savannah during "The Weeping Time" — a two-day period in March 1857, when 436 men, women and children were auctioned at a racetrack in the city (notable for being the largest sale of human beings in the history of the U.S.) — Thomas calls attention to suppressed or forgotten incidents that were nonetheless instrumental in shaping our contemporary social and political reality.

Thomas fills each of the four Jewel Boxes on the façade of the museum with an agricultural product — tobacco, cotton, rice and indigo — produced on nearby plantations by the labor of enslaved individuals. Each box also features an additional layer of archival documents and symbols related to this history. "Blind Memory" is a further iteration of Thomas’ practice exploring the interrelated concerns of the representation of race, the dialectic between images and text and the genealogy of historic iconographies relevant today.

The SCAD Museum of Art continues to explore Thomas’ work through "Freedom Isn’t Always Beautiful," a concise overview of the artist’s socially engaged practice. Composed of works from 2003 to the present, the exhibition explores the artist’s interrelated concerns regarding representations of race, the dialectic between images and text, and the genealogy of historic iconographies and their continued relevance.

Thomas employs stark contrasts, both formal and conceptual, to examine concepts of personhood, agency and commodification. The series "I Am A Man," 2009, uses the iconic Civil Rights Movement slogan as a starting point to explore the descriptive limitations of the phrase, while also paying homage to its original use. "I Am A Woman," "Am I A Man," "I Am Many" — these variations create semiotic slippages and nuances of meaning that reassert the affirmation of humanness and humanity at the core of the phrase's original use. Inscribed on signs carried by protestors during the sanitation workers strike in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1968, "I am A Man" can be traced further back to anti-slavery campaigns of the 18th century that asked "Am I Not A Man And A Brother?"

Through the use of reflective or shifting imagery and materials, including mirrors, holograms and lenticulars, "Freedom Isn't Always Beautiful" investigates the act of spectatorship and complicity. Seeing oneself reflected in the surface of the works implies participation and collusion in what is being represented. In works, such as "His Truth Is Marching On" and "Come Walk In My Shoes And I Will Show You Change," Thomas mines archival images, featuring cut outs from black and white vintage photographs by Spider Martin, taken during the Selma to Montgomery Civil Rights uprising and marches in Alabama, in 1965.

Works such as "Liberty," "From Cain't See in the Morning til Cain't See at Night" and "Icarus" tackle the theme of sport. These artworks draw a correlation between slavery and sport in terms of the commodification of black bodies. The artist also comments on labor, and the implicit stereotypes evident in the representation of such bodies in the media. Continuing his interrogation of modern messaging, Thomas appropriates the language and format of advertising to subvert its intended messages. In the work "Caesar’s Visa," a neon sign flashes between advertising slogans to reveal new readings and wordplay. "Wonder Woman" and "All Power to the People" engage with political messaging and propaganda, both past and contemporary. Manufactured in the form of oversized lapel pins and referencing significant political and social movements that emerged in the 1960s, the pins transcend their significance as tokens of personal political belief, to become amplified and monumental, perhaps even memorials of what they represent.

chicken shit - I don't want to be the guy that does pics that everybody likes to see. That is not me. I identify closely with a fellow INFP:

“With his regular looks, he passed for ordinary so easily that most people believed him when he insisted, as he did so often in later years, that he was a “nothing,” a “nobody,” an “uncomplicated man with ordinary interests,” although anyone who could attract attention to himself by being so sensitive and insecure had to be complicated.” – “But no matter what happened to Charles Schulz for the rest of his life he felt unseen. He never stopped believing that he had been forsaken and would be left behind, that nobody cared.” (Schultz and Peanuts by David Michaelis)

"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain (also INFP)

Augmented Reality, or AR, is a general term for manipulating our experience of the world around us with technology. Today it means pointing your smartphone camera at a restaurant and getting reviews. Tomorrow it might mean complete immersion into a customizable version of reality via 3D stereoscopic camera/video headsets.

Augmented Reality is playing a vital role while manufacturing a product as it is shown a tremendous result towards the automotive industry while saving time and cost involved in the product manufacturing. Attended a panel discussion at Stanford’s Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at SLAC ( www-group.slac.stanford.edu/kipac/ ) with some of the World's thought leaders including Persis Drell, Roger Blandford, Mark Kasevich, Pat Burchat, Andrei Linde (Father of the multiverse concept) , and Lenny Susskind.

For me the most amazing ideas came from Lenny Susskind. In summery he said… We have been trying to characterize the universe in the wrong way. It is like trying to describe man mathematically as a five fold design (left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg and head). This is totally the wrong approach. We should be looking to understand his DNA and how it enables the creation of the wide variety of life we see. Like the DNA of the Universe, String Theory establishes the possibility that there are different laws of physics in different part of the universe. What we have believe to be constants are in fact changing with the expansion of the universe. Man lives in a fleeting place and time that is a result of accidents. Whoa!

A great example of his thinking is on YouTube here  www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzfhtouRM6s&feature=related

Testing a augmented reality marketing campaign on web. In my hand I'm holding a paper with a orientation mark. Everything else is created by the web page. The 3D scenery moves as I move the paper.

To try it out, you need a web cam and Flash 10 plugin in your browser.

The bright spot is not a camera flash reflection, but a virtual sun moving over the virtual scene

Reality Is Malleable - We were out here chatting for maybe five minutes before we noticed there was a hammer hanging on the piece. Upon closer inspection we noticed there we lots of hammer marks on the metalic plate. So we figured you were encouraged to hit the peice with the hammer. It was very satisfying. Most Burning Man art is like this. Each piece has layers and more depth than first appears. So remember to always dive in. This is especially true if your internal judgemental voice says something negative. Also, nice to meet you!

It was OK...(quite a few years ago)

NO BANNERS, please!

...of Mussoorie.

Re-posting this shot since old school2 painted it so wonderfully and I wanted to share it with you all.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Most of my shots of my trip to Mussoorie have been showing only the beauty of the town and the hills around. As with a lot of towns in India, haphazard growth is everywhere, sometimes overtaking the beauty and simpleness of the surroundings.

This is the reality....there are lots of wires crisscrossing, most of them illegal but so prevalent that they become part of the landscape, the old houses are beautiful but falling apart, the new houses are strong but ugly concrete structures and so on.

So, it's really up to us to find the beauty where ever we can. One has to look beyond the obvious, and not get sidetracked by things like the huge dumpster that welcomes you to the town, or the discarded plastic bags in the gutters, in essence ignore the ugliness and notice only the beauty that could be.

Well I try and i won't get far,

i'll die and i won't get far

i'll try and know that everything's ok

I have no idea why there's a British flag in this. I thought it looked good, haha.
