¿Para qué queremos que una imagen sea explorada?
¿Significa alguna otra cosa que una ilusión?
Imágenes vacías, íconos solitarios, comentarios vaciados, palabras memorizadas.

What do we want an image to be in explore for?
Does it mean anything but an illusion?
Empty images, lonely icons, emptied comments, memorized words.

RailRoad crossing sign near Great Falls, Montana, USA.
Great Falls takes its name from the series of waterfalls that the Lewis and Clark Expedition discovered nearby when exploring the Louisiana Purchase.
Founded in 1883 by Paris Gibson and railroad magnate James J. Hill, Great Falls began as a planned power city, situated to take advantage of the hydroelectric power of the waterfalls of the Missouri River.
This photograph is my interpretation of the UK's current position with regards to BREXIT. As I am uploading this photograph I have David Byrne (Talking Heads) singing the song in the background. The song should be adopted and sung at the start of our Parliamentary sessions, as it sure seems that way at the moment.
The photograph was taken on the Queen's estate at Sandringham in Norfolk, near the royal stables.
or should that be the "Road to nowhere"??

The Great Sand Dunes National Park is just outside Alamosa, Colorado. Highway 150 is very straight for about 15 miles...
"The Road to Nowhere" in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. More info on this here: www.greatsmokies.com/roadnowhere.html
As the link above says, the Road to Nowhere ends at a long tunnel after just six miles. The tunnel itself is dark, damp, covered in graffiti, and a bit creepy. Much of the graffiti deals with Satanic themes: 666, upside down crosses, pentagrams, etc. A quick Google search (www.google.com/#q=the+road+to+nowhere+haunted) shows that more than a few people have experienced strange things there. I've personally never seen, heard, or experienced anything but visiting here on Halloween was a treat.

I’m leaving Seattle for Europe, I’ll be back on the 29th. I shot this at sunrise back home, this view is literally outside the window of my parents house.
This is 10 18mm photo stitched.

Well we know where we're goin'
But we don't know where we've been
Fnd we know what we're knowin'
But we can't say what we've seen
And we're not little children
And we know what we want
And the future is certain
Give us time to work it out
We're on a road to nowhere
Come on inside
Takin' that ride to nowhere
We'll take that ride
I'm feelin' okay this mornin'
And you know,
We're on the road to paradise
Here we go, here we go
[CHORUS]
Maybe you wonder where you are
I don't care
Here is where time is on our side
Take you there...take you there
We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere
There's a city in my mind
Come along and take that ride
and it's all right, baby, it's all right
And it's very far away
But it's growing day by day
And it's all right, baby, it's all right
They can tell you what to do
But they'll make a fool of you
And it's all right, baby, it's all right
We're on a road to nowhere

Photo taken by my friend Anoushka
Battered and torn still I can see the light
Tattered and worn but I must kneel to fight
Friend of mine what can't you spare
I know some tiems it gets cold in there
When my legs no longer carry
and the warm wind chills my bones
I reach for Mother Mary
and I shall not walk alone
Hope is alive while we're apart
Only tears speak from my heart
Break the chains that hold us down
And we shall be forever bound
When I'm tired and weary
and a long way from home
I reach for Mother Mary
and I shall not walk alone
I shall not walk alone
Beauty that we left behind
How shall we tomorrow find
Set aside our weight in sin
So that we can live again
When my legs no longer carry
and the warm wind chills my bones
I reach for Mother Mary
and I shall not walk alone
I shall not walk alone

Playing catchup, AGAIN, after my internet woes seem to have returned.
Thought the problems where behind me. Guess not. I'll see if I can get back in the swing of things here in Flickr land again.
"Linn Cove Viaduct is a 1243-foot concrete segmental bridge which snakes around the slopes of Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. It was completed in 1983 at a cost of $10 million and was the last section of the Blue Ridge Parkway to be finished. It is said to be the most complicated concrete bridge ever built." - From Wikipedia
Here's how to get this photo:
1) Drive to North Carolina
2) Park 1/4 mile down the road from the bridge
3) Look for the line of photographers.
4) Climb about 50 feet up muddy slope
5) Climb an additional 30 feet on top on large boulder (see below).
6) Usual photo stuff (compose, focus, and, oh yeah, click) :)
The day I was there the wind was blowing at least 40 mph which made for a very interesting walk back to the car along the edge.

I was looking back on my life
And all the things Ive done to me
Im still looking for the answers
Im still searching for the key
The wreckage of my past keeps haunting me
It just wont leave me alone
I still find it all a mystery
Could it be a dream?
The road to nowhere leads to me
Through all the happiness and sorrow
I guess Id do it all again
Live for today and not tomorrow
Its still the road that never ends
Ah ah
The road to nowheres gonna pass me by
Ah ah
I hope we never have to say goodbye
I never want to live without you
Were on a road to nowhere
Come on inside
Takin that ride to nowhere
Well take that ride
Maybe you wonder where you are
I dont care
Here is where time is on our side
Take you there...take you there

Abandoned section of the B4327 at Mullock Bridge, Dale, Pemrokeshire.

Photographs of an abandoned section of the B4327 at Mallock Bridge, near Dale, Pembrokeshire.
The causeway and bridge has listed building status:
History
Road bridge over marsh with long causeway to W and shorter length to E. Part of the old Haverfordwest to Dale road, disused since being bypassed by new bridge to N. The construction looks of the late C18 or early C19 but the origins may be much older, as by legend it was under Mullock Bridge that Sir Rhys ap Thomas crouched in 1485 to fulfil a prophecy that Henry Tudor would go to the crown only over Sir Rhys' back.
Exterior:
Road bridge, rubble stone, mostly red sandstone. Single arch with red stone rough voussoirs and parapets variously of grey limestone blocks, end-on red sandstone or cement. Causeway extends for a short distance, some 30m, to E, and a considerable distance, some 160m, to W, to an irregular curving line.
Reasons for Listing:
A single-arch bridge and causeway of considerable antiquity and of landscape value in the marshland setting.
I like this comp..but the processing is giving me fits.....blah. ;)
Update: replaced above. Original shown below in comments. Bringing back the shadows some makes me happy. I layered an original exposure over top of the tonemapped image. I believe it brings focus back to certain areas of the photo.

Here is a picture from the exhibition ROAD TO NOWHERE, which was organized by the inofficial WALLSTREETJOURNAL in Berlin last winter.

From left to right you see the contributions of SWOON, BIC (with a DOSH-tag on it), F*CK YOUR CREW, CORTO, NIKITA, OKAY 7 and SOLOVEI!
The concept of the exhibition was to compile the posters there just for about a week and then to put them to the streets again. So they were fixed in a removable way.
[At the moment I'm updating my flickr-account with all my fotolog-pictures. This means, that the pictures were taken a while ago. I think the shown works are still worth to be seen!]
