Not a drone photo, but a photo taken from Creux du Van. Wouldn't mind being on this road to nowhere amidst the greenery. Minor editing in iPhoto.
Seen this woman hanging round Plymouth train station last night, she was wearing sports clothes but must have been frozen as she was just loitering at the station maybe she was waiting for a friend who Hamas not shown up
I took some long exposures that featured boats on the water, when will I ever learn that boats on the water move, and with a long exposure that = blurr, derr!
Went for a drive with a couple of friends today. We spotted this photo opportunity and just had to try it

For a minature train that circles the Columbia Sussex building. So strange.

These Three Trees.
Silently standing guard over a foggy road leading to nowhere.
Theirs is a thankless job,
One they were required to do.
And it's something they have done very well for countless years.
Tunnel at the end of the Road to Nowhere near Bryson City, NC. This is the western trailhead of the 35 mile long Lakeshore Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which runs from here to Fontana Dam.
Road through lava fields on Iceland's south coast. Trip to Iceland was a birthday present from my lovely husband for my big 5-0!! He booked it as a surprise, knowing he would basically be going as my camera / tripod caddy and would stand around freezing for hours each day while I messed about with my apertures. What a wonderful man he is!
Well, it does go somewhere but yesterday I seemed to drive forever ~ but it was nice to be surrounded by beautiful country views!
Keep Safe Everyone!

Taconite Harbor, Minnesota—once a bustling nexus of industry and hard labor, now reduced to a ghostly whisper on the shores of Lake Superior. This town was born from the sweat and grit of iron ore miners, but it was corporate greed and the relentless march of time that sounded its death knell. The harbor's lifeblood, the taconite processing plant, was shuttered, leaving the workers to scatter like leaves in the wind.
Today, all that remains is a crumbling road, leading nowhere but into the maw of memory, and a single, dead streetlight—a lone sentinel over an empire of rust and decay. It stands as a grim testament to the American Dream gone awry, a flickering beacon that no longer works, marking the spot where ambition and reality collided and both lost. The ghosts of Taconite Harbor linger, haunting the remnants of a forgotten age, whispering tales of toil and turmoil to anyone who dares to listen.

Landscape are best shot at sunrise or sunset. But when travelling, especially on a tight schedule, you are forced to choose the places you want to visit at dawn/dusk while other places need to be covered during the day. Often shots taken in the bright afternoon light without a polarizer or an ND filter tend to be washed out and barely do justice as color shots. Even HDR does little to help the situation. But when you process such shots as B&W subtle tones begin to emerge.
Processed as multiple layers using Nik HDR Efex, Silver Efex, Noiseware Pro and Photoshop.

Secondary road (RV 45) from the Norwegian West Coast just south of Stavanger into the mountains towards the ski resort of Sirdal, Vest-Agder, Southern Norway. The road is partly covered by drifting snow due to the strong breeze / moderate gale (force 6 to 7 on the Beaufort Scale).

I went for a spin round Lough Tay and the Sally Gap this evening with Jane. Even though these are the most iconic trees in that area i don't think i've ever taken a shot of them so this evening i figured it was about time...
Behind me the road goes over a cliff and in front of me the road goes over a cliff. It felt surreal standing here and I had to crawl through brambles to be on this small, marooned piece of tarmac. I didn't hang about either, as the whole lot could collapse at any minute. The double yellow lines made me chuckle, as it would be impossible to get a car here now, unless it was airlifted in.
