Bryson City, NC – “The Road To Nowhere”, as most local residents call it, is a 6-mile scenic drive into the North Carolina side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where it dead-ends.
--- Taken near Union Grove State Park near Beresford, South Dakota.

We have sold $10,000 dollars worth of books today and passed the halfway point! $25,000 dollars in 3 weeks is enough to make me cry tears of joy. Let’s keep up the momentum and be part of the cause to abolish human trafficking! Today is also Shine a Light on Human Trafficking day! Here’s one of my favorite photos from last year, day 304. The @shoottheskies project is all about being part of the #enditmovement
fund the book!
This road really does go to nowhere....!! The rapid erosion of the Norfolk coast in England is devastating the village of Happisburgh....

The second of my "Road To Nowhere" series. I blended a colour layer with a mono layer, then decreased the opacity to get this 'desaturated' effect, which I think looks particularly effective. I hope you like it.

One of the pathways through the wonderful walled garden of Osborne House - Queen Victoria's family home on the Isle of Wight. This was a real highlight of our visit. The garden was restored and opened in 2000 and is awash with fruit, vegetables and flowers. The points of the arches is the interlocked V and A of Victoria and Albert

And just for the heck of it, here's some background on the location where I shot this. It's called The Road to Nowhere in Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Bryson City, NC:

A goal (but in French) in life you must have. BUT is the French IKEA. Illustration made in 2007 after a photograph from the movie Walk, don't Run (1966).

I still find it all a mystery
Could it be a dream?
The road to nowhere leads to me
A road project in the Smokies that was halted before it was complete, Lakeview Drive ends at this tunnel. The tunnel now leads to a network of trails.
There is a barricade of posts in the road just before the tunnel, and a parking area. As we were unloading our gear, we could hear a vehicle approaching at a high speed. The driver sped past the parking area then hit the brakes, stopping just feet from the barricade. I don't know where he thought he was going.
The Bay Area's Extra Action Marching Band joined for two songs at the end of the show. I am not sure I can see this show too many times...in case anyone was wondering (this was my 5th of 6.)
¿Para qué queremos que una imagen sea explorada?
¿Significa alguna otra cosa que una ilusión?
Imágenes vacías, íconos solitarios, comentarios vaciados, palabras memorizadas.

What do we want an image to be in explore for?
Does it mean anything but an illusion?
Empty images, lonely icons, emptied comments, memorized words.

RailRoad crossing sign near Great Falls, Montana, USA.
Great Falls takes its name from the series of waterfalls that the Lewis and Clark Expedition discovered nearby when exploring the Louisiana Purchase.
Founded in 1883 by Paris Gibson and railroad magnate James J. Hill, Great Falls began as a planned power city, situated to take advantage of the hydroelectric power of the waterfalls of the Missouri River.
This photograph is my interpretation of the UK's current position with regards to BREXIT. As I am uploading this photograph I have David Byrne (Talking Heads) singing the song in the background. The song should be adopted and sung at the start of our Parliamentary sessions, as it sure seems that way at the moment.
The photograph was taken on the Queen's estate at Sandringham in Norfolk, near the royal stables.
or should that be the "Road to nowhere"??
