Brian was called on high to color the sunsets and sound the thunder.

Brian, legendary frame builder, painter, knife maker and drummer passed last evening after a short illness.

This photo is from my table at Dudley swap meet early this morning. Most hadn't heard yet and were stunned by the sad news.

Bright orange padded chair from long ago, now ripped and doing duty at the back door of the O'Furno Bakery in Torrensville. I am shooting across a bank of bakery racks along the back wall. The morning shadows make excellent angled lines on the brickwork.

Thanks to the homie's piece....

Let me be another to say, I always looked foward to going on flickr and checking The Joy of the Mundane's flickr photostream. When I found out about what happened, I was poisoned with a sour stomach and a shock which stayed with me the entire night. Rest in peace to one dedicated mother fucker. I still cannot believe this happened, and I can't believe how strongly it hurts just from someone I knew threw the interweb.

This is the last candid picture I took of JJ before I had to put him to sleep last week. He's standing inside the front doorway and I shot him right thru the storm door from outside..

He wasn't showing any major signs of illness except panting and a slight distended belly. Turns out he was very sick on the inside. The vet said it was time... once again... I was completely unprepared. This is the second dog I've lost in 18 months. For now, it's just me and Tank, my english bulldog. I may have to get another dog, because Tank is more depressed than I am. He doesn't understand where JJ went and keeps looking for him throughout the house, breaking my heart.

Sorry to hear of the passing of the great folk rock guitarist and singer-songwriter, Michael Chapman, who I last saw here at Rockin' the Park, Clumber Park, near Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England, on 16 August 2013. He was part of an otherwise rock lineup comprising Snakecharmer, Caravan, Asia and Family.

Originally constructed as an attempt to fill a highway gap, the pile of old crushed cars have been wired together to help prevent erosion on the sandy hill during storms. The cars are known as the Catstair Rip Rap or Detroit Rip Rap, constructed in the 1960s.

Sorry to see this shop close. Although they catered mainly to the messenger/fixie crowd, it was a very close place for me to get cotton bar tape in pretty much any color.

Depois de treze anos juntas e quase dois lutando contra um fibrossarcoma, hoje (09-02-2015) ela foi embora. Adeus meus olhinhos de azeitona, adeus minha gatinha-ratinha.

I loathe the killing of civilians (or any life in fact) in any arena, whether it be Gaza, Syria, Sudan etc.

These guys often pushed the barriers in all fields and religions, but did that mean that they should have been murdered. I don't think so.

RIP to the 12 that died today, and to all those civilians who have lost their lives in any of the world's horrible conflicts.

It was last summer in Biarritz

Today the world lost a visionary genius.

So glad I was able to experience this, sounds like that won't be happening anymore due to heavy patrol and closure.

My friend Jake Coe died on 28.4.2014 of drug addiction. He was an incredibly talented poet and artist, father to a 2 year old son and partner to one of my best friends.

The last time I saw him, we painted this wall together. It seems only fitting to remember him by putting down my camera and painting his name on this wall.

Listen to his wise words here and don't believe those who tell you heroin is cool. We have to change our laws on drug use, making addicts criminals is insane.

I miss this man a great deal.
