Well, Dantelle is a true ripper lady as an ancient vampire, one of the first. And what period could suits her better than victorian one? Of course she had many dresses in different styles as the time has been passing, but this one is defienietly her favorite ;)

Kiko passed away the Saturday before Thanksgiving of this year (November 18, 2017.)

November 18, 2017: At approximately 01:30 this morning Kiko suffered a massive grand mal seizure which continued unabated as I transported him to the emergency room, having him in the hands of the doctors some 40+ minutes after the seizure began.
.
At the time of his arrival into the ER his body temperature was 108 degrees Fahrenheit. They administered phenobarbital and Valium, which quelled his seizure. He subsequently lapsed into a coma. At about 7:00am the ER doctor informed me Kiko was still unresponsive and they were having a difficult time bringing his blood pressure up to normal.

People and animals are not breathing while in seizure so in addition to the high temperature he also was not getting oxygen to his brain for the duration of the seizure.

Believing there was a significant chance of brain damage because of the high temp and lack of oxygen during the ~45 minutes of being in seizure, and not wanting this baby animal to ever again experience what happened in the wee hours of this morning OR the incident he had two weeks ago, which may or may not have been related, I made the decision to send him to a place where he will never again suffer.

He was my joy.

Rest peacefully, Kiko. You were loved by all who encountered you. You were everything to me.

Those who met Kiko likely remember his loving and playful nature. He never met a living creature he didn’t like.

This is the first photo I posted of Kiko, taken his first full day here at his forever home on August 17th. I’m sad he never experienced snow.

I didn’t know you personally, but as a photographer and explorer, I knew your work well. It’s impossible to be in the bay, especially Oakland, and not know who you were. From what I’ve read you were a genuine soul and brought people happiness. My heart and condolences go out to your family, friends and crew. The San Francisco Bay Area lost a legend in the game.

Since two items are from the swap, this technically isn't all thrifted. It is, however, 100% second-hand, so I think it is consistent with the spirit of the 100% thrifted pool. I hope! :)
The old Rabbit Hash, Kentucky general store burned down last night at the age of 185. A popular landmark is gone forever. I'm glad I had the opportunity to photograph it a couple years ago.

8 kittens last summer. RIP Nala is dedicated to my
daughter Gaby who showed tremendous strength during
this tragedy ~ despite her heroic efforts,
none of the kittens survived

Frances Wanderman: born May 26, 1915, died June 17, 2016.
This is an image of my mother's 101st birthday party taken a few weeks ago on May 26th. Since then she's stopped eating and she died peacefully last night.
