More than 3100 people turned out for the No Kings 2.0 Rally in Vero Beach, Florida on October 18th, 2025. One of over 2,700 demonstrations that were held, with at least one protest in every state, and several taking place in other countries in support. This widespread participation highlighted the collective sentiment against fascism and the Trump Administration. Resist!
Not all celebrity deaths have an impact on me, but David Bowie's surely does. What a brilliant life he had and shared with us....the soundtrack to our musical awakening in the 70's, 80's, 90's and beyond.

One more of Lone Pine Peak.
I drove up to the Alabama Hills this morning with Steve and Roger.
Cold morning. Ground was frozen. Temperature was 25F or so... with the wind chill it was more like 15F.
This was shot with Steve's 18-200mm VR. He insisted that I give it a whirl. One more thing to add to the "want" list. Great lens.
One 40deg gridspot on profoto head camera left just above eye level. Two bare bulbs left and right about 45deg behind, flagged, about 2 stops hotter.

I have no idea who Keith was, but thank you. These memorials were right on the cliff edge at Langdon Bay.
“He repeated his visits to the flagon so often that at length his senses were overpowered, his eyes swam in his head, his head gradually declined, and he fell into a deep sleep.”
"Rip Van Winkle" by Washington Irving
Our little buddy passed away quietly this morning of unknown causes.
We had been away since yesterday morning at a concert in Toronto and found him on our return this morning. He was lying in apparent rest with no signs of distress....
Our hearts are very heavy and sad and will be for a long time, he was our little companion for over 18 years and leaves a big hole in our daily lives.
