Death/Thrash Metal - Talagante

These are pottery pieces made by the Arguila sisters at a location not far from Coyotepec.

Mama's other pup - Dingo & Huskie mix, Brenna loves him.

Outside the Columbia Heights Metro station is a memorial to Chino, who died at age 14 on the 12th (this last Friday). He might have been one of three people who were stabbed recently in the neighborhood, but I don't know.

Rip wasted no time painting his Xmas Gift. Looks great! Can't wait to see it all dirty (It gets that way when I'm in front and he's trying to catch up) :-P

Rip rap, a layer of large, durable stones, being placed on a slope to protect the underlying soil from erosion.

Nathan was the homeless guy who's home for the past couple of years was LA City Parking Lot 635, behind Mr. T's Bowl.

I am very attached to this set of images which I made with a Holgaroid - (Holga with Polaroid back) - partly because there is no more of this Type 85 pos/neg film available anymore and for two other very symbolic reasons.....1- I was born just over the wall, a few hundred feet away and 2 - When I did a short photography course at the college over the road (in 1985) this was the place where the tutor took us and I remember it having a very resonant effect on me.

One of the things about the Holga that made me decide to use it to document this cemetery again, was the lack of a viewfinder when using the attached Polaroid back - so one is forced to go by instinct and intuition, regarding the composition - added to that there is only one shutter speed (and bulb setting - which i mainly used). The aperture is also fixed at f8 by a washer which is glued into the lens from behind - I found a tutorial online which showed how to remove the washer to make the lens f5.6, though this added to the already considerable vignetting - but again, I though t the effect complimentary.

My other main issue with publishing the set was out of respect for those at rest here - I have eventually convinced my self that my aims are for good and to show hidden gems like this may help with their long-term preservation.

Mia Amber, model, actor, blogger, has passed. May her soul R.I.P. Our condolences to her family members and friends. God be with them and God be with us. We do not know what led to her passing at this time.

Death/Thrash Metal - Talagante

Tally, full name Tallulah, was the fourth member of our herd, but she sadly passed away earlier this year. She was very fond of people and a lovely beastie...also the only one we could actually ride.

Shortly after this picture was taken, she wandered through the gate we'd forgotten to shut into the field. I had to go after her, and was this close to catching her when a little muntjak deer leapt out of the hedge right in front of her. Cue galloping up and down the field for half an hour before she ran back into the stables. x3

Died of colic. RIP, sweetheart.

A repost of an older picture in tribute to my sisters cat Tigga who was tragically hit by a car last night :-(

May you rest peacefully in kitty heaven Tigster. You will be missed.

Our new dog Zetta got into my penguin collection and destroyed my penguin Chub Chub. But it's ok, Christina is going to redo him and make him a red penguin. So he'll be a Crimson Chub Chub.

Our dwarf hamster passed away just as we were packing to move to Oakland. We had a nice little ceremony and buried her in Tilden Park, not too far from where we got married.

11 years of service, going out with a bang. Sorry but we are 2nd amendment lovers in a country living lifestyle. ✌️

Around 1230AM, I went to check out NPS just in case tomorrow's rain washes all of the messages away. But despite the late hour on a Tuesday night, there were at least 30 people walking around in the half hour I was there. That says something.

RIP, Jack. We'll miss you. //
