Welcome to The History of the Vehicle in SL exhibit - A Linden Endowment for the Arts project! Because this is a texture-rich exhibit, we suggest giving things time to rez clearly and taking your time through the displays.
In this exhibit, you will take a journey through time and see how the vehicle has evolved in Second Life. You will see vehicles from as early as 2003, (when there were no mesh or sculpties; only prims, or 'primative objects' as they were known then) all the way up to our the amazingly detailed versions of the present day.
Your journey will begin in the museum, by taking the teleporter on the floor of the reception area. From there, take the sidewalk over to the main display area, to see some of the creativity that abounds within the vehicle world today.
Feel free to wander the sim and explore. You will find whimsical, humorous, serious and informative areas throughout, and specialty exhibits abound. Be sure to gather information notecards from the info signs in each area, and feel free to sit on the benches in the relaxation areas.
Weekends will bring fun and entertainment, from concerts to live DJs, so be sure to check the weekly schedule of events, which is available in signs throughout the exhibit.
Thank you for your interest in this 6-month long project; hoping you enjoy it and have as much fun as we all did in the build and creation of this exhibit. Feel free to invite friends, and share the notecard through your groups.

Sooo today it's my 8 year rez day! I thought I'd ask if any of you lovely people would play with my pixels and pile me up? <3
I'm wearing the new Glam Affair Penny skin @ The Seasons story and Neva hair from Entwined if anyone was interested!
This is a 100% crop from the original, uploaded at full size. (It's well worth looking at the Large Size pic and zooming in. The detail is quite amazing!) I'm not supposed to do any cropping this month but who wants to look at 24mpix of blurred cotton reels. This crop is just 'the interesting bit' :-) and it's about APS-C sized.

So I have been around for a good 15 years or more in SL. And I have never celebrated a rez day. I always forget and miss them etc. Well it just so happens I went to a store and it screamed it at me and between yesterday morning and last night these two amazing girls managed to throw an impompto surprise party. I didn't get any other shots but I will just say I am eternally blessed with an amazing family that always manages to outdo themselves when I least expect it.
My partner (thank you sweetie) set up this wonderful party for my 10th rez day. Around the cake there are photos from 2007 to 2017. Its neat to see how the avatar evolves.
A big thank you to the people that did come and celebrate with me.

I am pleased to present you a new highly detailed island-sim as an integrated design solution. It need not off sim environment, because it is a full island.
No more mountains blocking your space to the horizon!
The unified design of a sim is created using a unique natural landscape. All Island with physics, so you can build at any place on it.
The landscape includes 4 flat platforms, a river, a waterfall, a lake, a beach place, a hills and cliffs.
The cliffs and the waterfall are presented separately, so that you can place them in any place you need.
Sim has 256 unique landscape textures, each 2048x2048 pixels in size. This creates the highest quality textures that do not blur as the camera approaches.
Sim-Island is good for sky and for ground.
This island sim is not an off sim environment – so you need at least 256x256m (sim) territory to rezz it.
The product is the best fit:
- for those who value unique complex landscapes;
- for builders;
- for setting up a skybox.
• The Island sim permissions: Copy, Modify.
• 100% original mesh items. Mesh enabled viewer required.
Please note, as for any mesh products, the increasing of the object’s size may change its land impact.
The Island item contains a rezzer – please follow the instructions:
1. Place the rezzer object on the ground or a sky platform (DO NOT OPEN THE BOX) to coordinates: X axis - 128m, Y axis - 128m. It is the center of your sim territory.
2. Click the rezzer BOX and choose ‘REZ’ from the menu.
3. Move the rezzer BOX up or down, and the Island will be moved with it.
4. Click the button "Stealth" in rezzer menu. This removes text and particles but keeps the prims tracking.
5. As your Island has been placed at the desired position, click the button "FINISH" at the rezzer menu.
Enjoy your new spectacular habitation!
