Dans la continuité d’une rue déjà réhabilitée, le chai de Luze est le cadre d’une opération visant à désenclaver le quartier des Chartrons en lui offrant la perméabilité nécessaire au développement d’une activité sociale et culturelle. Des trois chais accolés qui constituaient l’ensemble foncier concerné par le projet, seuls les chais nord et sud ont été réhabilités autour de l’espace laissé libre par la démolition du chai central. Protégés par une verrière presque immatérielle deux murs mitoyens sont ainsi devenus les façades d’un nouvel espace public. Le chai nord, avec ses voûtains en briques, est destiné à accueillir des ateliers d’artistes, il abrite les ateliers en rez-de-chaussée tandis qu’à l’étage on trouve des bureaux et des locaux d’activités multifonctionnels. Trois bow-windows de verre rouge en projection ouvrent ces espaces de travail sur le passage central. Le chai sud, qui n’est pas encore aménagé est en attente d’une occupation hôtelière. Entre les deux bâtiments, l’espace public – rue et place à la fois – s’éclaire de la blondeur dorée de la pierre bordelaise. Il est protégé par une verrière dont la structure minimaliste vient se poser sur les arases des murs d’héberge des chais.

Originariamente todo el interior del edificio era una gran sala hipóstila, utilizada como sala de oración, con la única excepción de los habitáculos existentes en el doble muro de la quibla. Aparte de su uso religioso que incluía los cinco rezos diarios y el especial del viernes, la sala también se utilizó como centro educativo y de la sharia durante el gobierno de Abderramán I y de sus sucesores.
La sala era grande y llana y estaba cubierta con techos de madera sostenidos por una doble arcada que descansaban en columnas. Estos arcos dividían la mezquita fundacional en once naves de norte a sur, más tarde ampliada por Almanzor a diecinueve naves. Aproximadamente las 850 columnas estaban realizadas en jaspe, ónice, mármol, granito y pórfido.

Una gran cantidad de catolicos se dan cita por las tardes a la Iglesia de San Miguel Arcangel, para estar presentes en los rezos, que efectuan y de ahì sale a recorrer las calles de la comunidad, hasta llegar al lugar de donde le toca estar, los vecinos lo reciben con aplausos, porras, vivas, cantos y dianas, por parte de la banda de musica, que los encargados contratan.
Al termino del Santo Rosario, a todos los ahì presentes, les ofertan en algunas casas, tamales, tortas, elotes, esquites, atole, te, cafè, pan de sal, de azucar, esto con una cooperaciòn que les llegan a solicitar a los pobladores del area, donde les va a tocar, la visita de la bendita imagen de San Miguelito Arcangel, quien a decir de mucha gente, han recibido infinidad de favores.
Niños, jovenes, adultos y personas de la tercera edad, acompañan, al Patrono de la Parroquia de San Miguel Tlaixpan, lo mismo se lleva a efecto, en las iglesias de las comunidades de San Miguel Coatlinchan, San Miguel Chiconcuac, San Miguel Tocuila, San Miguel Totolcingo, entre otras partes màs, donde los Parrocos, Fiscales, Mayordomos y Sacristanes, se dan a la tarea de llevar a cabo el complemento, para la proxima festividad en Honor a San Miguel Arcangel.
