Acually, I did! I rescued Tiki from a shelter, and she has become a special member of our family. Because of the financial challenges affecting our nation, shelters are filled to capacity with animals that have been dumped by their owners. I hope anyone considering a dog or cat for the family, will check out these animals waiting for homes...maybe your home?
Thanks for your visits, dear friends!!! Hope you are warm and snuggly wherever you may be.

AMC Gremlin Hurst Highway Rescue System 1 in Zeven.
The Hurst Rescue System 1 was a complete rescue package equipped with firefighting, first aid, a 1000 pound winch and even a stretcher.
It belongs now to the fire fighting museum of Zeven.
The guy from the museum told that it has been presented at the "Interschutz" (a trade fair for new rescue vehicles) and was sold directly from the fair since the presenters didn't wanted to ship the car back to the US.
I wonder what kind of adjustments had to be done to serve a german fire department.

Kittens and cats at Crafty Cat Rescue in Ann Arbor. These are wonderful cats and are looking for a good home. We had the first intake of kittens - and there are two pregnant cats as well. Those kittens were only 2 days old. Kitten season is starting! These photos are from Wednesday March 1, 2017.
My friend Pat has this 14 year old Beagle mix, Belle, who suddenly got sick with old dog vestibular disease. She was having a hard time keeping her balance, eating and doing regular dog stuff. My friend was afraid she was going to have to say goodbye and she asked me to take a few pictures. That was two weeks ago. Belle is a fighter! She is doing so much better and I am hoping will continue to improve. We got together today to take some shots at Belle's favorite park. I hope Pat loves these photos!
Pat keeps saying Belle isn't that affectionate, but I can see how much she loves Pat in this photo!
This photo is my tribute to Belle and the love that Pat and Belle shared. Belle crossed over the rainbow bridge today (12/15) after having deteriorated suddenly. Thank you everyone for the views, the faves and the comments. Godspeed Belle! You were loved so!

About to arrive at Saint-Lambert Station nearly a full twenty-four hours late, VIA 15 has rescue power VIA 907 leading. After having engine issues and then becoming snowbound at Rimouski, CN sent rescue power to take the train from there to Sainte-Foy, where VIA 907 replaced the two CN units. I believe this is the first time a GE runs on VIA 14/15.
Standby vesssel Esvagt Supporter's fast rescue craft. These rescue teams are amazingly professional. Once an alarm of a man overboard on a rig has been raised these crews can launch their craft do the rescue and return the casualty to safety in 3 to 5 minutes.

This mountain rescue helicopter was already searching for an injured woman who had called police hours before - we found her and called the police ourselves, then waved it into the area. She was actually uninjured and mentally unstable and taken to hospital
Would you rescue me? Would you get my back?
Would you take my call when I start to crack?
Would you rescue me when I'm by myself?
When I need your love, if I need your help
Would you rescue me?
We don't talk much, not anymore
Broken bottles and slammin' doors
But we still care about each other
Say we care about each other
I know life took us far away
But I still dream 'bout the good old days
When we took care of each other
We were livin' for each other
But I start to wonder, wonder
If I'm slipping under, under
Would you rescue me?

The daring rescue of a ball from a stream by a plucky (and clumsy) small boy. I'm glad to report it had a happy ending.
An airliner caught in a sudden thunderstorm experience emergency depressurization, but not to worry, Thor is here! (Wait, couldn't he have been the cause of the storm?) And that flight attendant is really determined to deliver that drink despite the conditions... Maybe this is a red beverage company commercial..
