Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jason Hernandez assisted School Resource Deputy Crystal Vallez with a Violation of the Controlled Substances Act at the county fairground building 3
~~~NOTE NOT REPORT IN THE PAPER ~~~
This is one of the most significant events of the year. With a county that is larger than two East Coast states combined, the fair is one of the few events that cater to a diverse audience, featuring exhibitors and vendors, art, food, a livestock auction, a pet and animal show, a rodeo, and a Saturday night dance. The Sheriff’s office has deputies assigned to shifts for the fair, and the Community Health Center has EMTs on-site during the four-day run, with the School district's fall break also coinciding with the fair now.
The fair takes place at the county fairgrounds on the North side of Sparta, the county seat and hub of the county.
