Dicey's Salvage, owned by Lindsay Patches (Rocky), was formerly known as Rocky's Salvage until 2015, when she took over the business from her Father, Steve. She married her husband, Warren, in December 2024. Her adult daughter, Rita, is from her first marriage.

East Sparta is just east of downtown Sparta, the county seat, across the Rio Grande. Sparta sits on the western bank of the river, and the east bank is called East Sparta, Little South, The bottoms, or Old Town by locals, and was the site of Sparta till 1912, after a flood /fire forced it to be relocated to the west side of the river.
I like the graphics on this Nevada Department of Public Safety Fire Marshal unit. This pickup is a 2010-2018 Ram 2500/3500 quad cab. I didn't see any emergency lights anywhere on it but would be surprised if this vehicle is not equipped to respond Code 3. So there's probably LED flashers hidden on it somewhere. Hazzard Range county Sheriff's office Deputy Clint Dallas took a report of vandalism on Powered cake way in Cowpoke Canyon subdivision on Cowpoke Canyon rd . Scene investigated and cleared .

This part of the county has not seen much seen much crime ,since two men in their late teens was caught back in 2017 . Now Deputy Dallas is comparing this report and three others over the last week in 22 home subdivision of Cottonwood Canyon and Cowpoke Canyon subdivision ( 8 homes ) what is about 9 miles overland southeast from west of Cottonwood Canyon. Only Double Ton Mt ( hill ) separates the two .
As another hot ( 100 °F+ ) day on this Tuesday June 27th, 2023 early evening . We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Deputy Brady Munoz picking up his unit at Penn auto repair & towing in Fort Hazzard . He is talking with Mt Plumbing , heating and cooling Worker Alan Trejo . Alan Tells Brady that they are so swamped with calls from heat wave ,that now even the work van needs worked on now . Brady says the county shop is the same way that's why his unit was here for oil change .
See when county is too backlogged they have contracts with few local shops around the county like Penn auto repair & towing in Fort Hazzard a census designated community in southern part of the county
On this Thursday January 9,2020 Early afternoon wind blows a little as storm system moves in . We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Dale Alak talking with Mark Cat owner of Cat’s Marine and Auto repair about a stolen boat . We also see County Public Works Dept Equipment Maintenance Division workers picking up County volunteer Fire Station 7 EMS and extrication ( Eagle Lake ) boat that was in for some maintenance at Cat’s
The county does all it own work most of the time ,but not on the one boat county owns it contracts out for it . Mark's business in on Winter Cove rd that runes from NM state rd 168 to Winter cove a subdivision in the northern part of the county along Eagle lake. Also in the area is Narrow cove marina ,is the northern boat ramp on the lake that for first time in many years has water at the ramp at this time of year that is near 29 % full compared to that of 6.2 % last year at this time .
On this 102 °F August 19th,2019 Monday evening . We see Hazzard Range County Public works Road and Street Division workers replacing a stop sign at 2 ST and Arizona ave in front of Tack rooming house that is one of many Tack Properties owned by Billy Tack. Who is standing on the second floor porch . He is telling one of his tenants how Sheriff’s office Deputy Miles Gallegos took the report of run over stop sign on Friday and took till today ( Monday ) to get it replaced .
On this cold Thursday Sept 10th 2020 mid morning ,We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Deputy Shawn Ridge taken a report of pickup in a ditch off of Cortez Ranch rd near Mist MT in the north western part of the county , The driver of Ram tells Deputy Ridge that in the fog/mist that was in the area . He got disoriented missed the turn from the forest rd onto Cortez Ranch rd and ended up in the ditch ,
Padilla Towing is called and got the truck out of the ditch report was taken by Deputy Ridge and no EMS was needed ,
The Fog/mist is what is left from storm fronts that passed through the area in last few days, They brought cold air along with a little snow to mts and rain to lowlands

Muddy Spring police officer Greg Green took a report of suspicious activity at the end of depot street .Scene investigated and cleared . Turns out to be a county worker checking on number 3 Water well.

Muddy Spring Population of about 900 ,it is also located 14 miles north of the county line and is about 12 miles south of Apache the county seat of Apache county.
With a high near 87 °F on this Monday, October 6th, 2025, afternoon, we see 41-year veteran of the Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office, Lieutenant Bubba Sanchez, talking outside of Martinez Fuel and Auto Repair with mechanic Ty Haler and Randy Martinez, as Randy’s son James works on Bobby Sanchez’s ( no relation to Bubba ) 1969 Dodge Charger.
Bubba laughs as he thinks of the countless times Bobby or his four siblings, Larry, Chad, Reba, and Dolly, have tried to outrun the Sheriff’s office over the last 30 years, but like all things that chapter is now closed, Bobby, the second oldest and now solo owner of it, is getting it ready to be sold after the new year and put his family’s racing to rest Bobby and his siblings are the kids of the late Bonny and Dale Sanchez, Since Dale passed way in Jan 2024, the old 01 has sat at the family farm just gathering dust. With the wedding of his sister Reba coming up soon at her longtime boyfriend’s Sheriff’s office, Investigator Taylor Sportisburg and Larry are pushing to clean up the land of “junk. “The timing was right.
Larry is a full-time farmer, but Bobby works for the US Forest Service most of the year. Chad works for the local Railroad, Reba is a bartender at Rusty Bucket Saloon, and Dolly works in healthcare in Texas.
Randy and Mary Martinez own Martinez Fuel and Auto Repair. Their son James is one of their mechanics. Location is in Sparta, the County seat

As sun peaks through with Isolated rain showers around on this Sunday Jan 13,2019 late morning .We see a local rancher putting fuel in his truck at the Milk Bowl Diner and Travel center . We also see Hazzard Range county sheriff's office Animal control Deputy Katy Paca passes by as she responded to animal complaint call on Neon Moon subdivision lane . Neon Moon subdivision that sits behind Milk bowl dinner and travel center that is 5 miles south of Sparta the county seat .

This address is the county public library that is in the old county high school .The alarm was false alarm and County Public Works Dept worker was also called and the worker thinks yesterday's/today's rain might have caused the false alarm

Forks Police Department Officer Steve Veley assisted a local farmer in Middle Fork with loose livestock . Scene investigate/ livestock captured and scene cleared .

Forks is made up of three ( Fork , Middle Fork and Top Fork ) little cluster of homes and businesses that form Forks In 1987 they consolidated to Form Forks with a total population of about 699 on the banks of Forks creek .Most part of the canyon they set in is home to small farms and ranches in the surrounding desert .All three Villages set in Forks Creeks Canyon along the Forks Creek in Apache County NM , just over the County Line from Hazzard Range County. Also all three are served by a joint Village Commission ,that has three Commissioners Forks Police Department ( FPD) has a budget 5 officers including the Chief.
On this rainy Monday Dec ,9th,2019 .We see Miller Transport Services bus 1 turning off of Main St /NM 168 as Hazzard Range County sheriff’s office Deputy George Carols heads into Hairrson's Hardware Sparta branch to take a report of shoplifting. Scene take place in Sparta the county seat .
On this 98 °F Thursday June 13th,2019 afternoon .We see Hazzard Range county Sheriff's office Sergeant Parker Walles taking a report of vandalism at a Irrigation Gate on Canal rd 4 near Bear Rd intersection in the central; part of the county . Eagle Lake Irrigation District ( ELID) workers found it as they were doing routine maintenance. ELID operates and maintains the system for ELID members in the Rainbow ,Forks and Apache Valleys,
Rainbow Valley that is in Central part of the county ,it is about 25 mile long valley on the banks of the Rio Grande river. Sparta the county seat sets in north part of valley and it is called Rainbow valley because for all of the different colors of rocks . Irrigated mostly by the water of Eagle Lake want is just north of Sparta and wells . The valley grows many things ,but mostly Chile, Onions, Corn ,Pumpkins ,Pinto Beans ,pecans and cotton it is also home to three little census designated communities of Sun ,Mars and Rio Grande junction . Water for this area is diverted at Pump house Diversion Dam built in 1914
Forks Valley is smaller and goes east up Forks Canyon /Radar creek ,but there is small handful of farmers who Irrigated from Rio Grande river . So water is diverted at Sierra Ridge Diversion Dam ( built in 1909 and water is Diverted at Apache Valley Diversion Dam ( built in 1911 ) . Both dams owned by the United States Bureau of Reclamation, which built them , and is operated by the Eagle Lake Irrigation District . Also both are in Apache county the county south of Hazzard Range county,
