On this Wednesday, Oct 2 2024 afternoon, the 83nd Annual In Hazzard Range County Fair and fairgrounds are swarm of activities as fair entries arrive 4-H animals are already on site. Two people we see next to the Sheriff’s office unit is Deputy Nick Sandi talking with The Hazzard Range Bulletin Reporter Eve Cooper
Nick tells Eve that since this is her first fair since moving to the county last spring. This is one of the biggest events of the year and with a county, that is larger than two East Coast states combined, the fair is one of few events that has something for everyone, from the exhibitors, vendors, art, food, livestock auction, pet and animal show, rodeo, and Saturday night dance. He adds the Sheriff’s office has deputies assigned shifts for the fair and the Community Health Center has EMTs on-site during the 4-day run with School district fall break also happening at the same time as the fair now.
Fair takes place at the county Fairground on the North side of Sparta the county seat and hub of the county.
