The exhibition features the artworks from an interdisciplinary and culturally diverse group of architects/artists/designers investigating current and historical dilemmas facing new immigrants and political/religious refugees as well as their influences on local and global culture in everyday life and their complex relationship to artistic and cultural production. Each body of work represents a unique perception according to one’s individual expertise, experience, vision and culture identity.

According to the real estate market and Google Images, 'home' is synonymous with 'house'. This completely opposes the old adage, "Home is where the heart is," which means home doesn't, or at least according to conventional morals shouldn't, exist as a material thing. I chose this picture from the internet primarily because it has a similar architecture style to buildings in Red Cloud, Nebraska, where I hope to live someday. However, the building depicted appears to be either newly built or recently renovated, while the houses of Red Cloud are much older. Due to the smallness of the vegetation and the lack of curtains, lights, or other signs of habitation in the windows the house looks lonely, which is accented by the overcast sky above.

In addition to ruminations about houses, at some point I plan on watching a TED talk regarding my question.

This is an outstanding 1950s polished cotton plus size dress. Just a splendid stunning addition to your wardrobe. A true beautiful garden party dress... Has a cuffed boat neckline and a back metal closure. Displayed with a petticoat does not come with the dress as well as the necklace. It is in excellent vintage condition. Love the design as it is straight down the front and then gathers on the sides for that special look. This is what really makes the dress. Any spots you might see are just from my camera. Dress will need to be dry-cleaned to freshen. Color is bright black. I love the style of years gone by especially the 1950s.

This questions are an attempt to help my students realise that it is okay to ask questions that have no easy answer, so that they can practice saying questions at random to improve their fluency, without having to return to Japanese to check out their question to see that it has a viable answer. I tried it in my seminar class. Immediately afterwards one of my students was still censoring questions and having difficulty asking questions that might be difficult for me to answer (How often mustn't you praise?). The truth is for a native speaker almost any question is answerable, and this was just after getting them to do the above exercise to have them realise that it does not matter if the question is unanswerable. So the wall of politeness, which may be the same as of meaning, is hard to break.

Meaning is felt to occur when you understand yourself, and ask yourself a question, say or express something that you can auto-respond to and understand.

That went quite well.

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was the first person to participate in Yahoo! Malaysia's Question Time programme. He had fun. :)

National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) was established in July, 2001 as a federal statutory body. It is a fast-track initiative to improve social sector outcomes at the grass-roots. The goal of the Commission is to fill the implementation gaps and improve public sector delivery mechanisms to achieve the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) through:

Visit of Mr. Pervaiz Lodhi – Member PHDF

Mr. Pervaiz lodhie a distinguished member of PHDF visited Malala Feeder School on 7th March 2015 alongwith his team and the Worthy Director operations Sindh Humaira Hashimi Sahiba. The team arrived at Malala feeder school at about 12.00noon. A warm welcome was given to the distinguished guests. The students from Malala wrapped in school uniform give a salute the honourable guests and offered flowers to the guests. Thrown rose petals in a queue to the head Masters room.

Where Mr. Moti lal – Head Master briefed the honourable guests about the back ground and the efforts taken for establishment of such a wonderful building through donations. He elaborated that besides donors the I-care, PHDF, Mir Ghulam Ali Talpur and the chairman usher and zakat the children are continuously supporting the school by making donations from their pocket money, which were a unique contribution and the idea for construction of malala feeder school. They started the school with the number of 25 children only but now after hectic efforts and continuous work hard the number has raised to 455. At the movement 5 Feeder teachers are placed while 3 other teachers are voluntarily putting their time and efforts.

Then the guests visited each class room one by one, where two children from each class presented rose flowers to the guests. The guest asked many questions about the education, the attitude of the teachers and their satisfaction from the school and learning land marks. Checked and found whole the school very neat and clean.

A gathering of parents of children was also arranged in the school, after visiting class rooms the honourable guests moved toward the stage where function started with the recitation of holy Quran. A student of class three Ghulam Rasool recited from Holy Quran.

Mr. Pervaiz lodhi – member PHDF said in his address that PHDF put a unique idea of public and private partnership and have proved that by collective efforts Pakistan can meet the desired goals and objectives especially in the field of education. He called a meeting with stake holder and the private sector yesterday and will be meet with the honourable minister and PHDF members in Pakistan to contribute on their part in the uplift of NCHD and the objective of Education and literacy in Pakistan. He thinks that it is only NCHD which has office in every district of the Pakistan and grass root approach. He will try a funding and the support of Pakistanis in America and bring some good news as well. He is himself contacting various philanthropists and groups in this regard also. Insha Allah we will bring a positive change in Pakistan and continue our mission. He appreciated the innovative idea for construction of Malala school building. He also suggested that he will show the movie to the father of Malala who is visiting America in coming month.

Et bien, chers amis, je m'étais promis de répondre directement à vos questions.

Question : avez-vous un message particulier à donner ?

Alors, chère amie, non. Le message, il est le même pour vous tous où que vous soyez sur cette Terre : pensez à élever vos Vibrations. Plus vous élèverez vos Vibrations, moins le mental pourra intervenir, moins le vélo pourra tourner et moins il vous causera des soucis. La solution, elle est dans la Vibration, quelles que soient les questions, quelles que soient les interrogations que vous avez à l'Intérieur de vous. Vous le savez, un ensemble de choses ont été libérées sur cette planète. Donc vous avez la possibilité, réellement maintenant, de vous relier aussi bien aux particules Adamantines que aux radiations qui vous arrivent du cosmos et qui sont relayées par l'ensemble des Forces qui sont avec vous. Donc, la solution elle est là. Quelle que soit la problématique, quel que soit le souci ou quelle que soit la question que vous avez à l'Intérieur de vous, la réponse elle ne doit plus se faire au niveau du mental. Elle se fait, systématiquement, et elle devra se faire systématiquement par la Vibration. Parce que c'est la meilleure façon de ne jamais se tromper et d'être en accord avec vous-même. Donc, la réponse n'est pas une question de choix au niveau de la tête mais bien une réponse Vibratoire. Voilà, donc ça va être de plus en plus vrai dans tout ce que vous allez vivre. Que ce soit pour les choses les plus simples comme les choses les plus importantes de ce qu'il y a à vivre sur cette Terre, n'est-ce pas.

Question : pourquoi ces douleurs dans le bras gauche ?

Toutes les perceptions, parfois un peu douloureuses, que vous avez à l'heure actuelle, à différents endroits, sont liés au passage qui a eu lieu au mois de décembre, où vous avez yoyoté de la touffe, où le passage du chakra de la gorge a occasionné un certain nombre de transformations. On ne peut pas recevoir la Lumière sans vivre des effets. Ces effets, ils sont bien réels. Ils concernent pas uniquement la Conscience. Ils concernent aussi les cellules. Ils concernent aussi le corps que vous habitez. Donc il y a, nécessairement, au niveau de ce corps, des réajustements qui se font, parfois, avec des douleurs à gauche et à droite. Il ne faut absolument pas vous inquiéter de tout cela. Là aussi, la réponse elle est Vibratoire, c'est-à-dire que, si il y a quelque chose qui gêne dans la Conscience ou dans le corps, il suffit de mettre la Lumière, réellement, concrètement et physiquement, à cet endroit-là, par vous-mêmes, puisque la Lumière est là. C'est très simple. Faites-en l'expérience et apprenez à faire cela pour tout ce qui concerne votre vie. La Lumière agira toujours et nombreux les Archanges vous ont dit que la Lumière était Intelligence. Elle est Intelligence mais elle fait toujours tout pour que, dans votre vie, tout se déroule avec le maximum de Lumière. Si, dans votre vie, il y a des choses qui ne se passent pas dans la Lumière, c'est que, en vous, il y a des choses qui ne sont pas dans la Lumière, c'est aussi simple que cela. Vous avez accès à tout, avec la Lumière. Absolument à tout. Maintenant, ça devient un phénomène collectif de plus en plus vrai, pour de plus en plus d'entre vous mais encore faut-il que votre Conscience arrête de fonctionner avec des modes de fonctionnement qui sont issus de l'alternance Ombre / Lumière. Toutes les peurs qui sont en vous, si elles ne sont pas éclairées par la Lumière, vont se manifester à vous. Y'a rien qui vient de l'extérieur. Tout vient absolument de vous, sans exception. Y'a aucun responsable à l'extérieur de vous. Quels que soient les êtres que vous rencontriez, quelles que soient les circonstances auxquelles vous allez être confrontés, depuis les choses les plus simples comme les choses les plus complexes, systématiquement, si ce n'est pas harmonieux, si ce n'est pas fluide, si ce n'est pas Lumineux, c'est qu'il n'y a pas assez de Lumière. C'est aussi simple que cela. Rien ne vient de l'extérieur. Donc, si quelque chose dans ta vie bloque, c'est que la cause elle est à l'Intérieur de toi. Elle ne vient pas d'un quelconque karma ou d'un quelconque extérieur. Tout revient toujours à soi. Sans exception. Aujourd'hui, plus que jamais, vous allez être confrontés à cette vérité première. Les zones d'Ombre (ou ce qui se manifeste qui n'est pas Lumineux dans votre vie) ne peut venir que de vous et de nulle part ailleurs. Alors, si vous avez un conjoint qui vous bouffe les sangs, c'est de votre faute, entre guillemets, mais y'a pas de fautif. Disons que ça vient de vous. Y'a une faille et la faille elle est remplie, bien sûr, par le conjoint ou par une situation. Mais y'a absolument rien qui vient de l'extérieur, surtout maintenant que la Lumière est là. Ça veut dire, simplement, si il y a quelque chose qui ne va pas, c'est qu'il y a une faille, une résistance ou une zone d'Ombre à l'Intérieur. Rien ne vient de l'extérieur. Tant que vous projetez, surtout maintenant depuis quelques semaines, si vous projetez quelque chose qui vous est désagréable comme un facteur extérieur, vous n'avez pas compris la Lumière. Ça, c'est capital à comprendre, maintenant, à accepter : rien ne vient de l'extérieur. Ça sert à rien de vouloir trouver un fautif dans une relation, dans une situation, dans un karma. Ça, c'est des explications pour des mondes privés de Lumière mais vous n'êtes plus privés de Lumière. La Lumière est là, en totalité, et vous le savez.

Question : comment intégrer au mieux les inconforts physiques dus aux effusions de Lumière ?

Chère amie, c'est très simple. À ce moment-là, tu mets la Lumière là où ça fait mal. Parce que là où ça fait mal, ça veut pas dire qu'il y a beaucoup de Lumière. Ça veut dire que les processus de transmutation qui se vivent dans le cerveau, dans les cellules, ne sont pas localisés par un excès de Lumière à l'endroit où ça fait mal mais sont des résonances qui se passent ailleurs. Vous savez très bien que, si vous avez mal au doigt, ça vient pas du doigt. Ça vient peut-être d'une vertèbre, n'est-ce pas. Donc, qu'est-ce que vous faites dans ces cas-là ? Vous mettez la Lumière là où vous avez mal, pas sur la cause première où y'a la Lumière. C'est aussi simple que cela.

Question : qu'appelez-vous Vaisseau ?

Les Vaisseaux, n'allez pas voir de la ferraille. Ce sont des Vaisseaux de Lumière. Ce sont des agencements de Lumière particulière qui sont créés par l'emboîtement des particules Adamantines. Comment croyez-vous qu'on se déplace ? Où nous sommes ? Nous sommes, comme ça, dans l'éther, n'importe où ? Nous sommes sur une autre planète ? Non. Nous sommes autour du soleil, et nous sommes dans des Vaisseaux.

Question : on peut dire qu'un Vaisseau c'est un contenant ? Une Conscience ?

Tout à fait. Un contenant intelligent et nous sommes le contenu. Il y a de multiples Vaisseaux. Vous avez aussi les Vaisseaux des Végaliens qui, eux, sont en 3D Unifiée. C'est une structure métallo-cristalline, on va dire, à onde de forme particulière. Mikaël aussi, en lui-même, est un Vaisseau. Vous avez tendance à vous représenter un Archange dans une forme anthropomorphique avec une épée qui terrasse le dragon mais ça, c'est une représentation. Avant toute chose, l'Archange est un Vaisseau. Qu'est-ce qu'on entend par Vaisseau ? Regardez le sens premier du mot Vaisseau. C'est ce qui sert à se déplacer, tout simplement. Rien de plus, rien de moins. Dans la conscience humaine, vous avez tendance, dès qu'on parle de Vaisseau, à penser soucoupe volante, ça n'a rien à voir. Nous ne sommes pas dans les mêmes Dimensions que vous. La forme la plus juste, au niveau, par exemple, des Vaisseaux de Marie et de mon Vaisseau, c'est la forme que vous appelez ronde. Vous la voyez ronde mais elle n'est pas ronde. Elle est hexagonale. Maintenant, l'Archange Mikaël, en lui-même, est un Vaisseau beaucoup plus grand dans sa Dimension originelle que mon propre Vaisseau. Mikaël peut emmener des millions, si ce n'est des milliards de Consciences sous ses ailes. Tout simplement. C'est-à-dire qu'une Conscience est un contenant de Lumière. C'est-à-dire qu'une Conscience, dans les mondes Unifiés, est un Vaisseau à lui tout seul. Votre Merkabah est un Vaisseau. Donc il faut pas en rester à la définition des soucoupes volantes. Vous êtes très loin de tout ça.

Question : en tant qu'humain pouvons-nous percevoir visuellement ces Vaisseaux ?

Tout à fait. Ils sont d'ailleurs enregistrés. Pourquoi ? Parce qu'ils sont dans des Dimensions supérieures mais ils sont situés autour du soleil. Le soleil est une Porte des étoiles qui a été enfermée mais, à partir du moment où nous avons, petit à petit depuis déjà de nombreuses années, préparé l'ouverture de cette Porte des étoiles, l'interaction de ce que vous voyez avec votre technologie et de notre Dimension originelle devient visible. C'est une interpénétration des Dimensions. Comme c'est exactement ce qui se produit, à l'heure actuelle, avec les particules Adamantines, avec ma Présence à l'intérieur de ce Vaisseau. La seule différence c'est que votre véhicule, que vous appelez le corps, quand on est incarné, n'est pas mutable. Il va d'un point qui est appelé la naissance jusqu'à la mort. Les Vaisseaux multidimensionnels, qu'ils concernent notre Conscience ou des Consciences assemblées, comme les 24 Anciens, sont des formes mutables. Nous ne sommes pas figés dans une forme, contrairement à vous.

Question : en quoi les visions douloureuses de médiums correspondent à une réalité ?

Cher ami, je te répète ce que j'ai dit, une vision, même chez l'être le plus branché, à partir du moment où il y a vision, c'est-à-dire vue, décèle des images, elle concerne toujours la matrice astrale. Quand on pénètre le Cœur, il y a plus de vision, y'a la perception directe. La perception directe est une connaissance immédiate. Les visions, les plus grands prophètes en ont eu. Mais est-ce pour autant que cette trame astrale doit se réaliser ? Puisque cette trame astrale est totalement déchiquetée. Alors bien évidemment qu'il y a de la souffrance. Bien évidemment qu'il y a des choses horribles qui se produisent, encore aujourd'hui, sur Terre et ce n'est pas fini. Mais qui est responsable ? Est-ce que c'est parce que c'était dans les prophéties ? Est-ce que c'est la Lumière ou est-ce que c'est l'Ombre ? C'est toujours le même problème. Tant que vous adoptez un point de vue extérieur, vous restez dans l'extérieur, vous n'êtes pas à l'Intérieur de vous-mêmes. C'est cet apprentissage-là qu'il vous faut réaliser. Alors, bien sûr que, quand vous êtes à l'Intérieur, vous percevez, par le Cœur, beaucoup de choses. Mais, encore une fois, nous vous l'avons dit depuis de nombreux mois, voire presqu'un an, que tout s'était accéléré, la Lumière avait anticipé. Y avait un calendrier qui était établi. Nous avons transcendé et anticipé, par la présence de la Lumière, tout cela. Maintenant, si votre projection dans les prophéties demeure, vous allez attirer à vous toutes les choses désagréables qui peuvent être vues ou lues. Le plus important, encore une fois, c'est vous-mêmes à l'Intérieur de vous-mêmes. Vivez, profitez de la vie, dans le Cœur, bien sûr.

Question : il a été dit dans une canalisation récente que à partir de maintenant tout individu pourrait projeter extérieurement sa propre Lumière.

Tout à fait. De la même façon que j'ai dit que vous pouvez envoyer la Lumière sur une zone qui fait mal. Mets en Lumière ce que tu veux se voir réaliser. N'agis pas avec le mental uniquement, n'agis pas avec le désir, n'agis pas avec la volonté mais agis avec la Lumière. Voilà ce que ça veut dire. La projection de la Lumière c'est cela : par le Cœur, par la Vibration. Mets la Lumière sur ce qui est ta vie, bien sûr, ton être Intérieur mais ce qui se déroule à l'extérieur de toi, pour que, ça aussi, ça fasse partie de toi et que ça devienne lumineux.

Question : ça peut être aussi de projeter sa Lumière sur une autre personne ?

Tout à fait mais, là, gare à vous. Je m'exprime. Imaginez que vous avez quelqu'un, peu importent les liens ou les pas liens que vous avez avec lui, et que cette personne soit dans l'Ombre et qu'elle ait des Ombres prédominantes, on va dire, et vous mettez la Lumière. Qu'est-ce qui se passe ? Ça va pas devenir Lumière. 1ère étape : les Ombres vont ressortir. C'est exactement ce qui s'est passé, durant le mois de décembre, partout sur la Terre, avec des êtres dont les Ombres ont été manifestées, de manière violente, par l'éclairage de la Lumière. Donc oui, sur des êtres humains, mais attention, vous ne pouvez pas, de manière anodine, donner cet Amour et cette Lumière à ceux qui ont des zones d'Ombre et qui refusent la Lumière. Parce que, plus vous allez être dans l'Amour et la Lumière avec des êtres qui (inconsciemment même, c'est pas le problème) refusent la Lumière, plus ils vont devenir violents. Et avec vous, comme par hasard. Donc, sur ce qui concerne votre vie oui, mais sur les êtres humains, je vous avais prévenus et je vous ai prévenus : la Lumière, qu'est-ce qu'elle fait ? Elle fait rendre compte, elle fait prendre conscience qu'il y avait enfermement mais est-ce pour autant que la Lumière est là ?

Question : comment mettre en Lumière ce qui vient de notre passé sans aller creuser ce passé ?

Il n'y a pas besoin de creuser, y'a simplement besoin de se remémorer. Vous avez tous conscience, aujourd'hui, de ce qu'ont représenté vos blocages dans votre vie, plus ou moins. Vous savez ce qui vous a fait mal. Alors, bien évidemment, y en a qui vont dire : oui mais y'a des choses qui sont inconscientes. Plus tout à fait. Parce que, aujourd'hui paradoxalement, même si la mémoire de l'instant est en train de disparaître, vous avez tous, même si vous n'avez pas encore pris conscience, des souvenirs qui remontent par rapport à ces souffrances du passé. C'est ça qu'il faut illuminer. Donc c'est pas la peine d'aller faire une recherche mentale ou des régressions ou des techniques, je sais pas comment, pour aller décortiquer les processus. Vous avez tous, soit des images, soit des visions, soit des émotions qui correspondent à vos blessures. Alors, bien évidemment, la Lumière fait le travail mais, si vous avez besoin de décristalliser, vous pouvez mettre de la Lumière sur les circonstances. Qu'est-ce que va faire cette Lumière ? Elle va vous déconnecter. Parce que, quand nous sommes humains, nous sommes le résultat de notre passé. Nous sommes le résultat de notre vécu. C'est ce que nous croyons. La seule façon d'être libre, c'est de ne plus être le résultat de son passé et de son vécu, c'est d'être aligné, comme nous vous l'avons dit, les uns et les autres, dans l'instant présent. Parce que, dans l'instant présent, y'a pas de place pour l'instant passé. C'est les zones d'Ombre qui s'installent dans le présent qui vous pourrissent la vie. Donc y'a pas besoin de plonger. Si y a une scène, une image, une émotion, quelque chose qui remonte, vous vous servez de ça. Vous êtes tous conscients de ça. Y'a pas besoin d'aller décortiquer (parce que ça vous fait aller dans le passé) les mécanismes précis. C'est un ensemble de choses qu'il faut traiter.

Question : éclairer ce passé, c'est pas seulement envoyer une intention mentale ?

Certainement pas.

C'est ouvrir son Cœur, mettre de l'Amour là où....

Exactement, c'est uniquement cela. Tant que vous passez par la tête ça ne peut pas guérir, ça le renforce.

Question : donc il faut oublier les causes trans-générationnelles ou héréditaires et uniquement mettre de la Lumière ?

Pour les êtres ouverts au niveau du Cœur et qui sentent les Vibrations, oui, c'est tout à fait possible. Tout à fait. Ce qui est impossible pour un être qui n'a pas ouvert, bien sûr, sa Couronne du Cœur ou ses autres chakras.

Question : je suis conscient d'une pathologie trans-générationnelle, néanmoins elle existe toujours. Pourquoi ?

C'est très simple, parce que le trans-générationnel, effectivement, c'est pas toujours présent à la mémoire, d'aller chercher le père, la grand-mère, l'arrière-grand-mère, ou l'arrière-arrière-grand-mère qui a manifesté et incarné dans l'ADN le problème. Dans ce cas-là, qu'est-ce que tu fais ? Tu vas pas aller replonger dans les mémoires et dans l'histoire de la famille. N'oublie pas que la Lumière est intelligente. Tu dis : voilà, au niveau héréditaire, c'est-à-dire dans mon ADN, au niveau trans-générationnel, y'a mon tremblement qui vient de là ; j'envoie la Lumière sur la lignée. Y'a pas besoin, dans ce cas-là, d'avoir les images ou l'histoire, historique précis. Le travail du Cœur, là-dessus, peut suffire mais il faut le faire. On a pas besoin, quand c'est des choses qui remontent à plusieurs générations, d'aller voir. Jésus, par exemple, chassait les démons depuis 7 générations. Est-ce qu'il avait été voir l'histoire de la personne ? Absolument pas, absolument pas. La Lumière est Intelligence suprême. Et si ça ne marche pas, qu'est-ce qui est en cause ? Est-ce que c'est la Lumière ? Non. Jésus l'avait dit aussi : « homme de peu de foi ». Ça vous renvoie toujours à vous-mêmes. Toujours. Ça vous renvoie à quoi ? C'est pas la culpabilité, ce que je dis. C'est la responsabilité et la Liberté. C'est quand même profondément différent, n'est-ce pas. Être responsable, c'est être Libre. Vous avez tous vécu, à des degrés divers, dans les mois ou les années précédentes, des mises face à certaines situations qui vous ont renvoyés à des éclairages de ce que vous étiez, à des blessures qui n'étaient pas effacées, à des vécus qui n'étaient pas transcendés. Tous, sans exception, et c'est logique. C'est l'action de la Lumière.

Depeche Mode are an English electronic band that formed in 1980 in Basildon, Essex. The group consists of founders Dave Gahan (lead vocals, occasional songwriter since 2005), Martin Gore (guitar, keyboards, vocals, main songwriter since 1982), and Andy Fletcher (keyboards, bass guitar). Depeche Mode released their debut album Speak & Spell in 1981, bringing the band onto the British new wave scene. Original band member Vince Clarke (keyboards, guitar, main songwriter from 1980 to 1981), left the band after the release of the album, leaving the band as a trio to record A Broken Frame, released the following year. Gore took over the lead songwriting duties and, later in 1982, Alan Wilder (keyboards, drums, bass guitar, occasional songwriter) officially joined the band to fill Clarke's spot, establishing a line up that would continue for the next 13 years. Depeche Mode have been a trio again since 1995, when Wilder left.

Monument classified as World Heritage by UNESCO

Built in the XIV/XV century to commemorate the victory of the 6.000 men of the Portuguese army, against the 32.000 Spanish soldiers in one of their many invasion attempts, the Monastery of Batalha is the most glorious example of the Gothic architecture in Portugal.

The story tells that in the 1383-1385 crisis, when the Spanish army with their king was marching to Lisbon to claim the throne they encountered a small Portuguese army. Laughing of such small force they've decided to pass around because they didn't want to be delayed in their conquest. The Portuguese seeing that the only chance to keep the independence was to fight and win, started to insult the Spanish calling them cowards. It had its result as the Spanish decided to turn back to teach the Portuguese a lesson...

Right from the start the battle was a catastrophe to the Spanish. When their cavalry charged, the knights started to fall into the many traps built in the battle camp. Those who escaped reached the Portuguese army in a disordered formation and tried to pull back. But while some were trying to get back, large numbers of Spanish knights not understanding what was happening continued to charge and push all in their front against the Portuguese spears! More, the Portuguese army chose a very narrow space to fight and the long spears of the Spanish knights were not maneuverable, so they started to break them in half to make them shorter. The problem was that when the broken piece was thrown to the ground the horses tripped in them and fell...

Soon it became a catastrophe to the Spanish and their king was forced run to Spain barely escaping the Portuguese persecuting force. This victory kept Portugal safe for the next 200 years...

Alberta’s legislature will debate a potential referendum question asking Albertans if they think the principle of equalization payments should be removed from Canada’s Constitution.

Premier Jason Kenney introduced a motion on June 7, 2021 that, if passed, will put the following question on a provincewide referendum ballot on Oct. 18, in conjunction with municipal and Senate elections:

“Should Section 36(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982 –Parliament and the Government of Canada’s commitment to the principle of making equalization payments – be removed from the Constitution?”

“Albertans elected this government to get a fair deal for them. That’s exactly what this referendum is about. For too long, Albertans have been forced to subsidize public services in other parts of the country where politicians have been trying to block our pipelines and impair our vital economic interests, even during times of great economic hardship for us. This fall, Albertans will finally get a chance to tell the federal government that they’ve had enough of the unfair equalization program, and want reforms that recognize our province’s role in creating national prosperity.” said Premier Jason Kenney.

The principle of equalization is embedded into the Constitution and is the Government of Canada’s primary transfer program for addressing fiscal imbalances between provinces.

Albertans fund equalization through federal tax contributions, which are then transferred by the federal government to other provinces for their programs and services.

However, the current program does not take into account fundamental matters of fairness, including the ability of “have provinces” – like Alberta – to contribute transfers even when their provincial economies are down.

“Justin Trudeau’s equalization program is not fair for Albertans. Their generosity is being taken for granted by leaders who are happy to receive the money but reject the jobs that produce it. Albertans will finally have the opportunity to be heard.” said Kaycee Madu (pictured), Minister of Justice and Solicitor General.

Holding a referendum on equalization was a key recommendation of the Fair Deal Panel, which submitted a report to government last year recommending several ways Alberta could strengthen its position in Confederation.

“Alberta averages almost $20 billion annually in net contributions to Confederation. Almost 10,000 Canadians commute from across Canada to work in the oilsands alone. Alberta certainly doesn't appear to be getting treated fairly and I'm very happy that our government is listening to those that spoke at our Fair Deal consultations.” said Tany Yao, MLA for Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo and member, Fair Deal Panel.

“Equalization rewards irresponsible, anti-economic development policies while punishing responsible economic development governance. Over the past 10 years, hard-working Albertans have sent over $400 billion to some provinces that run budgetary surpluses with money that isn’t theirs. Albertans’ self-determinant spirit built this province, so it’s time we asked them whether things need to change.” said Miranda Rosin, MLA for Banff-Kananaskis and member, Fair Deal Panel.

On June 1, 2015, the Information Resource Center of the U.S. Embassy welcomed a group of 20 university students for the monthly English Club.

English Language Fellow Andrea Echelberger led the group through activities on "Improving Converstion in English". The participants learned how to paraphrase and use WH question words to continue conversations. This activity built confidence in these young participants to engage in dynamic discussion in English.

English Club meets once a month at the Information Resource Center. It is an opportunity for students and others to develop their English skills.

The 'Mesdames de Mayhem' are a club of female mystery writers -- short stories, novels, and television scripts -- and are a lot of fun to know. John Thompson has become sort of a go-to resource for many of them for questions about firearms and weaponry; particularly as many of them have never fired a firearm and know little about them. This has led to a one-time 'Mystery Writers Shoot' to be hosted by the RCMI-PC on May 9th on Borden -- the day before our own scheduled shoot of May 10th.

The mystery writers will provide lunch (guaranteed not to have any us turn green and start frothing) and about 10 of them are expected.

John Thompson will be the RSO, but we need volunteers and their firearms for one-on-one coaching on the firing line at Borden. Some ammunition will be from club stocks and the Ladies will be paying to defray the price of ammunition.

The day begins at 0930 on Bay 5. Safety brief, get 'eyes and ears' matched to guests. We'll set up with the normal Figure 11s.

0945: Short talk and display of:

a) a muzzle-loading black powder firearm (assuming some member brings one)

b) a double-barrelled shotgun

b) a bolt-action rifle,

c) a lever-action rifle.

d) a pump-action shotgun.

e) a semi-automatic rifle.

f) a single-action revolver

g) a double-action revolver

h) a semi-automatic pistol.

-- Each demonstration will be short, and will allow the ladies to see how the firearm functions and is loaded. This will be under control of the RSO; once dry with the weapon pointed at the berm, then turn, and once live into a target.

10:30ish One on one shooting (editor's note:I think John means shooting on a one-on-one supervised basis... I hope that's what he means). Members will lay one or two of the weapons they bring with their ammunition on the firing line and let the ladies shoot under close supervision. We'll do our usual relays and keep each relay short (two mags) and then clear and patch targets and let the next relay come up.

We need a variety of historic and significant firearms for this -- especially if they are well known to the general public.

Bay 5 is licensed for the usual pistols plus rifles up to 5.56mm/0.223, so no big bad rifles but carbines, shotguns, and pistols are needed. If you want to bring something heavier to show, please do. We can show it, but we can't shoot it on Bay 5. The ladies tend to be 'mature' and very few have ever shot anything before, so be guided accordingly.

After lunch we'll do a novelty shoot for prizes for the ladies. Quite possibly we'll let them keep their illusions about our own eagle-eyed marksmanship, or maybe reserve one prize for RCMI-PC members.

There should be a giant question mark on my face at all times because I just don't know.

I feel like I'm in this weird transitional part of my life.

My mind is just racing with what ifs lately. Should I do this? What if I do that? Do I want to do that? How about this? Or why not? It's draining, very draining. I get ahead of myself, and start thinking about a year from now, trying to plan, and I can't.

I'm like this floating blob of a human.

Plus I feel like I'm a 22 year old (okay, in a week & a half) living a 17 year old's life. What I do now is pretty much no different than what I did when I was 17. Well, except pay bills & work constantly. I still live with my parents, I'm still in school. I'm not sure where I think I should be, just somewhere else. My best friend's going to be graduating from grad school around this time next year.

The only big NEXT STEP there is, besides getting my degree, is moving out.
