Great Pyramids, near Cairo. The very tip of this pyramid still has some of the original cladding of lighter stone. Most of the pyramids we see today show the inner construction of huge blocks of stone.
Khafre's Pyramid, is the second largest of the Ancient Egyptian Pyramids of Giza and the tomb of the fourth-dynasty pharaoh Khafre (Chephren).

Probably one of the hardest things to describe is the feeling of being so tiny and insignificant when you are stood next to these structures, they are certainly awe inspiring. The Great Pyramid of Giza (also called the Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt, and in a historical irony is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that survives substantially intact. It is believed the pyramid was built as a tomb for fourth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops in Greek) and constructed over a 20 year period concluding around 2551 BC. The Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Originally the Great Pyramid was covered by casing stones that formed a smooth outer surface, and what is seen today is the underlying core structure. Some of the casing stones that once covered the structure can still be seen around the base. There have been varying scientific and alternative theories regarding the Great Pyramid's construction techniques. Most accepted construction hypotheses are based on the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and lifting them into place.
Have done some great walks both here and overseas, this would have to be one of the best. We had a wedding to attend in Stanthorpe the next day and decided to walk up Pyramid rock. What a day!
The Louvre Pyramid (Pyramide du Louvre), designed by I.M. Pei, is a large glass and metal pyramid, surrounded by three smaller pyramids, in the main courtyard (Cour Napoléon) of the Louvre Palace (Palais du Louvre) in Paris. The large pyramid serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum.

Pyramids of Güímar . Tenerife.
Mysterious and controversial, but still worth a visit, especially for the very nice garden next to it, the great documentary about adventurer Thor Heyerdahl and his travels and the Rapa Nui exhibition.
The site is very well maintained and organized, but they emphasize a little too much on the Thor Heyerdahl theory, ignoring pretty much all other theories about the origins of the Pyramids.
From Wikipedia.
The Pyramids of Güímar refer to six rectangular pyramid-shaped, terraced structures, built from lava stone without the use of mortar. They are located in the district of Chacona, part of the town of Güímar on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. There are claims that the structures have been dated to the 19th century and their original function explained as a byproduct of contemporary agricultural techniques. However, results of excavations have so far proved inconclusive.
Other pyramids employing the same methods and materials of construction can be found in various sites on Tenerife. In Güímar itself there were nine pyramids, only six of which survive.

The pyramid used to be a sports stadium, if I'm remembering correctly, but has been usurped by the Fedex/Kinko's Forum.
Pyramid Lake is the geographic sink of the Truckee River Basin, 40 mi (64 km) northeast of Reno.
Pyramid Lake is fed by the Truckee River, which is mostly the outflow from Lake Tahoe. The Truckee River enters Pyramid Lake at its southern end. Pyramid Lake is an endorheic lake. It has no outlet, with water leaving only by evaporation, or sub-surface seepage. The lake has about 10% of the area of the Great Salt Lake, but it has about 25% more volume. The salinity is approximately 1/6 that of sea water. Although clear Lake Tahoe forms the headwaters that drain to Pyramid Lake, the Truckee River delivers more turbid waters to Pyramid Lake after traversing the steep Sierra terrain and collecting moderately high silt-loaded surface runoff.
