Another early AM shooting session, experimenting with Arista Ultra 100 shot at box speed. Fairly wide light capture here with somewhat harsh shadows and cloudless sky. This combination doesn't quite pull out the details in the shadows as much as I'd like, despite some very favorable comments about this film with D76. Will likely go back to Xtol in the next round.
Borage flower (Borago officinalis), also known as the starflower, just beginning the 'launch' of opening to a new Spring day, approx. 1cm long, handheld, iPhone 6s Plus, Olloclip macro @ 7x, Shoulderpod S1, Hisy remote, cropped in 'Photos' and tickled in Snapseed on iPad Pro.

First photos with the 7Artisans 25mm f1.8 lens, a few days after I got it in March 2019. I was trying to decide whether it was up to the task of being the only lens I'd carry with me on my holidays, for my infrared camera. Despite a few shortcomings (soft edges below f/5.6, IR hotspots can be quite pronounced, short focus throw), it grew on me quickly, and became my favourite lens for infrared.

The westbound Zephyr arrived in Denver 9 minutes late, but ended up departing 1 hour and 45 minutes late. The reason being that AMTK 139 (the second P42DC) developed a mechanical issue. AMTK 142 is a "protection unit" that has been kept in Denver. Essentially, it's a spare unit for just such an occurrence. Three units is a little unusual to see on the Zephyr. Unfortunately, it mean that AMTK 161 (the Phase 1 Heritage unit) was no longer leading. Here, the westbound highballs through Leyden.

Another shot of Stamford, a beautiful historic town in Lincolnshire / Rutland.
The George Hotel to the right is a very historic place with three kings having stayed there. Here all pilgrims and knights of the Holy Sepulchre were entertained as they travelled from the north on their journey to Jerusalem to visit the Sepulchre of Christ, the knights accompanying the pilgrims for protection. The wooden beam across the road is where people used to be hanged and left as a gentle reminder to pay your taxes. The closest known date for the existence of the Inn is 947 AD.

The D7000 is supposed to be weather sealed, but I wasn't going to risk it in 50mph winds and blowing snow. So, I made this zip lock camera bag to give me some extra protection. I had seen something like this online before, but thought I'd share anyway.
I cut a hole for the lens opening and used the threads of the lens hood to tighten down on the plastic bag. I also cut a hole for the viewfinder and used the eye piece to snap down on top of the bag. Tiny holes were also cut for the shoulder strap connections.
I was able to reach almost any button I needed through the bag, but adjusting the zoom on the lens was difficult. Also, take note that this probably won't work with a telescoping zoom. Overall, it worked really well, and I'll probably use it again.
