spent the day at Horseneck beach in Westport Ma. so I'm sending some cool blue waves to those of you in a heat wave!
A joint effort for the photo prompt today.
After spending yesterday morning, then most of the late afternoon/early evening cutting down the front hedge, we were both tired.
This morning, we went out to get photo evidence of our labours....
It's a big pile of dead hedge, Olivia woke up immediately, "It's a trampoline!!" She doesn't often get tired!
Spotted this beauty on my morning walk today - will have to go back later with my real camera and tripod!

I never felt like I did prompt 2 properly, so I revisted it. First I wrote on the page with gold marker, which was later covered with paint, collage, and the writing in black.
Made for Dawn Sokol's Art Journal Stimulus Project. (www.dblogala.com/)
Day 09 - Paper // So today's prompt was to take a picture of something paper. I thought a plain white sheet of paper would be just boring as could be, so I decided to take one of my favorite Bella Sara cards off my desk and take a picture of it. They are the most beautifully illustrated trading cards I have ever seen in my life and though I'm more of a cat person, I was really drawn to this series of cards. I always wanted a horse as a little girl and toy version were as close as I ever got.
Prompts: a surrealistic painting of endless staircases, dark hooded man in the corridor of peril, the clocks drip with liquids from other dimensions, there is danger aloof good sir!

The project is developed using various pre-set text-to-image models, processing text prompt inputs. On the borderline between sensitive content and an easy slip into topics of violence, this project visualizes the depths of the subconscious of these models, excavating the influences of media and online information exchange. The quantified traces of reality and collective histories allow algorithms to generate content that recycles the past - building the spine of quasi-historical narratives - often obfuscated with prejudice and misinformation, along with the author’s personal bias. Generated outputs are presented inside a hypertext object – a tent that the audience can enter, as it were.
This exhibition is part of the category "Interface Cultures".

During Fire Eye'd Boy the monitor terminal fuckup continued and Kevin sent everyone offstage while the sound guys massaged the problem.
Kevin returned during the break to talk with us. One of those other albums they recorded earlier this year will be out "soon", his favorite color is blue, no you may not have a sip of his beer nor a drag of his cigarette, Dirty Three is his favorite band and also, yes he will get naked for us.
And then Kevin Drew took off his clothes.
I think this has been my favorite prompt so far! I had so much fun doodling on these photos of the wildlife in our neighborhood! Blogged here: inspirationeverywhere.blogspot.com/2012/06/new-card-and-m...

I think I feel the benefit of all those thumbnails before committing to the final sketch! Even though I am still desiring to be much quicker in order to really be able to sketch and go, I felt much more confident in all my angles and perspectives because of doing the thumbnails before hand.
2010-05-25, acrylic and collage in my Art Journal. Inspired by Jeannine's class Mining the metaphor and the prompt "Map your heart".
The small town of Mojave, CA contains a number of rustic scenes with great character. While traveling down a back street, I stumbled upon this very well used, and perhaps forgotten, GMC delivery truck. It's position in the lot indicates that it was parked, rather than simply abandoned. How long ago was it parked? Someone's restoration project? Will it find its way to a museum or a private collection? All good questions that only the coming years will answer.
This is a 3-frame, hand held HDR image. The texture and weathered features prompted me to process in a heavy, more painterly manner to capitalize on the unique look. Even in the ultra dry desert air, rust and elements have taken their toll.

Outdoor Prompt -- not a cafe, but in my backyard (birds and chipmunks watching) LOTS of challenge with angles on this one --but it isn't unrecognizable - i found it helpful to go slow and to check relationships often, when doing the pencil sketch...and most of all - ignoring mistaken lines and angles and just to try again , before committing to ink
