An early start prompted by the weatherman's promise of a hard frost took me to The River Stour where I had earmarked these three stately forms. Apparently I was not the only one waiting for this as at least eight other photographers were waiting to catch this scene. Fortunately I arrived second and managed to set up on the spot I wanted. Sadly, after all our efforts the frost was only mediocre and the sun did not bother to do much to help us, but at least there was no wind and a few clouds to give atmosphere.
