Testing a 300m GuerillaBeam kit

Had to place it on the table to try it out. It worked. Phew. The picture quality on a wall isn't particularly good tho... :)

I believe this may need a new bulb. It works, but the screen has a green hue.

Bauer 16mm double band projector. These were used at the BBC for previewing rushes, cutting copies, sync rushes, transmission prints, answer prints etc. A lot of material was shot on 16mm and shown with seperate magnetic sound. They were also used in the dubbing theatres. BBC Television Previews no longer exist.

I really gave the college try on this band, but after several attempts, I just can't get into it.

I had this idea with Kannenberg (yes, over a few drinks, so I'll assume that I'll later need to apologize for this, but alas. . .) about generating a band of all gorgeous asian women making harmonies shreaking feline noises, perhaps with tamborines as well. . .and I'm not talking commercial cat food noises to appease the ear, I'm talking alley AIDS cats. . .ones that are sereiously suffering (sigh). . .they would stand in a semi circle in black dresses and Pitchfork would eat it up, unshowered 22 year olds in trending clothing with mouths perched open would loudly adore the ladies by offering shouts of proposals to them to varying different degrees, gals would wish they were of Asian decent. It was going to allow me to take classes full time and the like, so inevitably, I would perceive it as a good thing.

Well, anyways, this band sounded like that vision (I'll add with a little Erie, PA Christmas Eve 6 pm mass choir mixed in). . .and I was once again reminded of what a bad idea it all was, just like the hangover after the idea had summerized for me.

In a nicer critical fashion. . .as Josh would put it, the band seems like a bunch of fantastic and thoughtful ideas put together in a thoughtless fashion that comes to a point of being overwhelming in a sense. . .We've given it several listens, several attempts, we have even grown to love Captain Beefheart, The Walkmen Pussycat album, and "Judy in Disguise with Glasses," so its not like we don't try on these things. I just think that this one isn't going to happen for me.

At least I still have my Christian rapper package and rhymes to lean back on. . .remember that eve Kannenbird?

A package has arrived! Correction, two packages where one very long and slim for the screen and one big containing the rest of the stuff. Yoy and happiness nonetheless.
