Sou super fã do Pret.

Michelle Obama visited OSU and I was fortunate enough to not only hear her, but be up front to take a number of great pictures of her.
Been wanting to visit this place for ages, pedestrian tyne tunnel. Need to do more exploring like this, these types of places really interest me!
This is a small falls located just above the Glory Hole. The water has carved out a slot in the rock bed.
week forty nine of week fifty two.
Today I did one of my very few baby portrait sessions. I rarely do 'official' portraits because I'm always too worried that I can't deliver the images people have in their own head.
Natal! UFA!

Project 52, one photo a week, for a year. I decided to use music lyrics as my inspiration for my photos for this challenge. Could be exactly translated, inspired by, or a loose interpretation.
Each month I am going to choose a different theme to follow....
January - Inspired by Simon & Garfunkel
Week One; Jan 1-7
The Dangling Conversation, Simon and Garfunkel
It's a still life water color,
Of a now late afternoon,
As the sun shines through the curtained lace
And shadows wash the room.
And we sit and drink our coffee
Couched in our indifference,
Like shells upon the shore
You can hear the ocean roar
In the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs,
The borders of our lives.

Our babs loves her sleep, and now she's all about getting herself into comfy positions that leave you envying her as you leave the room :-)
[ Macro Extension Tube ] I have also been interested in the world of Macro. It is just a unique look on objects around us that we normally do not see.. or see that closely the detail that surrounds us. A Macro Extension Tube is mainly just a tube that is hallow with air. There is no glass or any elements, it just changes the focal distance when applied to a normal portrait/zoom lens to only an inch away from the glass. Since it was just air, I decided to try the Fotodiox Macro Extension Tube kit to try out. It includes 3 tubes which when combined gives a Max Life/Image Ratio of 1:1.32. The positive is no glass (cheap glass) to interfere with the image quality. The negative is the cheap set does not have an electronic contact, thus not allowing the digital camera to read the aperture on the lens. I decided to try first on the Canon 50mm f/1.4 -- I preset the lens to f/8 to see if that would do anything, but it didn't seem to when I took the lens off and put the extension tube between the body and the lens. As you can see from the shot above of the Canon Ultrasonic lens cap, I was able to get within centimeters of the cap and fill the whole view with above. Now since I have a shallow DOF and macro, it is very hard to manually focus this handheld. I would recommend a tripod or setting the timer. My adventure now begins. I will try the kit on other lenses to see the results. The other option is to buy the official Canon Macro Extension Tube.. but when I get this one to play with for.. about 7% the price, I think I will work with this one until I am ready for full control.
I think the the softness of the image enhances the dreamy expression on my face. Would you believe I "took this photo" with my scanner? I got the idea from the Flickr blog today: blog.flickr.net/en/2012/04/28/scanography

Happy new year to all.
I fell in love with Danbo after a Project 365 on her by www.flickr.com/bunnyrel
With the help of a template and some amazing instructions at deviantart, I handcrafted a couple of Danbo's.
Isn't she cute? :)
P.S. Welcome to my 52 weeks project.
This is Lars the Bear. He is the only childhood toy that will always stay with me, even when I moved country seven years ago.
For the photo challenge I could have placed it on a nicer background or maybe posed it cutely on the bed, but I thought it's nicer to show it the way it's displayed all the time - on my mantlepiece, right beside the picture of its truthful owner, my late baby brother Lars.
He got this teddy on his first birthday, handmade by his nurses, where he spent over 3 and half years in and out of hospital, before passing away only two weeks before his 4th birthday in 1987.
Back than, being not yet 6 years of age myself, I didn't fully understand what had happened, but I remember asking my mum, if I could have his teddy, so that I could pretend it was my baby brother whenever I hugged the bear.

He loves that he can open the back door by himself and escape (if we don't lock it of course).
