Day 364 – The second day of building the platform bed. I still need to install the drawer slides, build the Head/footboard, build the drawer face frames/moldings sand, prime, and paint. It’s getting there. #Project365

Sometimes I have to do the same thing over and over and over again. This is where my orange dinosaur comes in as he's the perfect weight to hold down the enter key, enabling me to go and do something less boring instead, whilst he says 'ok. ok. ok. ok' to my computer.

Q: What do you get when you cross a cold with an ear infection?

A: A very sick photographer.

Long weekends away are never long enough

Day 311: The warcraft warrior needs to be vigilant against attack at all times and ready to pounce when the opportunity arises. I was over at ed's for dinner and rhi played some warcraft III afterwards.

I hope you appreciate the effort I went to for today's Project 365 shot.

While doing a couple of test long exposures then a couple of proper ones, I nearly froze my ears off.

Standing on the windy side of Lake Wendouree in 3°C temps. (Windchill was closer to -3°C)

The streaks of light through the trees is the rush hour traffic.

Glad to be home in front of the heater.

100th day of my project and still having fun.

week 30, but I dared to try H&M's dress that is meant for "normal" people :)

Strangely enough I could put it on!

This was the first day I almost missed my 365 project photo. We were driving from Iowa to Pennsylvania for the weekend, and stopped at a rest area along the Indiana tollway. It was late, snowing, and these semi-trucks were lined up and parked for the night. So a quick shot to meet the daily deadline (although the snow, colors of the trucks and glow of the light give a little warmth to an overwise cold setting).

Day 224: It was time for a rusty shot and this old truck proved to be a great subject.

Today's Project 365 pic is of the statue of William Shakespeare near an office that I was working in today.

I decided to go Black and White for this one, since Shakespeare's plays were in the days before colour television and colour movies.... think about it.

Just kidding... the exposure of the iPhone was shit and the only way I could improve it was to go B&W ;-)

We got talking about Kinder tonight and so Azz went out to the Co-Op and bought Tia, Paige, him and me a Kinder Hippo, Egg and Bueno each. We ate our feast while watching TrollHunter, a Norwegian film. The four of us are now sat watching My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. I'm still off work as I start with Tui on Thursday so today I went home to see my Mum and Dad for dinner and to show them my car. They both seemed pleased with it and Dad even asked me if he could drive it but I told him he couldn't. He did seem I little disappointed, haha, bless him he looked like a little boy who'd had his toys taken off him. It's Paige's birthday tomorrow and we have her a nice bottle of wine.

The ancient fang of the dragon Nograd. Said to bestow great power. I have to get this somewhere safe!

Tonight's Project 365 photo is of the sun setting behind the water tower on Walsh Estate.

Got a few surprised looks from passing drivers, as I had to get in the right spot to take the shot without getting any power lines in from of it.

I never realised that it doubled as a mobile phone tower.

Preplanning this shot was easy. For sunsets, I use an iPad app called LightTrac so I know where the sun will be when I get there and where I should park, before I even left home. www.lighttracapp.com

Because of the writers' strike I am watching AXO play his Wii.

Day 274 – NLDS game 3 Dodgers vs. Nationals at Dodger Stadium. Nothing like playoff baseball. Go Blue!

Today's Project 365 photo comes from the small country town of Clunes where I was working this afternoon.

I loved the look of this old butcher's shop. If you are going to buy meat, make sure it is from a Quality Butcher.

Clunes is a great little town full of old buildings where time stands still.

Named after the British actor Martin Clunes in 1997* , many of the buildings in the town are from the Gold Rush era and although they have modern businesses in them, many still carry the same signage from previous occupants, with the current businesses using easily removable signage for when the town is used for filming.

Clunes has featured in productions such as Ned Kelly (Heath Ledger version), Mad Max and the ABC TV show Something In The Air, just to name a few.

A great little town with proud residents, fantastic architecture, unsecured wifi near the pub (... apparently) , not a speck of graffiti and an occasional flooding problem.

They also have a book festival every year in May which attracts 60 sellers, millions of books and 15,000 tourists.

*This may not actually be true. Just checking to see if you read these descriptions.

Crooning with Domo. Got this cool Shure 55SW 'Elvis' mic from my mom. Not 'shure' what I am going to use it for yet, maybe cartoon voices, vlog or record a rendition of "Blue Suede Shoes"? In the mean time Domo stretches his pipes...can one croon to 'Mr. Roboto'?

Violet's favorite ball to chase in the house is very worn out and almost ripped in two. Claire bought a replacement from the same company (JW by Petmate) but it is slightly different and Violet refuses to fetch it. The original has long been discontinued so Leah sent an email to the company explaining the situation and seeing if they had any left over, and they sent one to us for no charge.
