Day 169: I went out shooting with jon to the pond near by (at the office park i often visit for photos) and the pond was drained for repairs. With most of the water pumped out..we found many interesting shots.

By popular demand. Here the set of some of the stuff we found

Day 103 , Project365

Today's Project 365 is a sunset over the Beaufort Lake.

The spot where I had planned on taking the photo of had cars and fishermen in the way, so I ended up going for a walk towards town instead.

Domo feeling the effects of sniffling, sneezing and coughing,,,sorry little guy.

Day 60: This is a picture of the windows and blinds in the large conference room next to my office.

This is one of the many treats the Seniors got at the "Halfway There" Dance.

Location: The school bathroom, near the gym.

Similar rig to the last photo, though I did have to juice up the power below to 1/32 as the blue liquid parafin in the candle didn't let nearly as much light shine up through it as the glass egg did. One Canon 540 EZ on 1/32 power zoomed to 105mm and snooted from below.

BTS shots are these three:

The market cross is a grade 1, 15th Century listed structure. It's a popular place to sit down and hang out. 500+ years of bottoms have worn the seats down considerably

Tonight's Project 365 photo is another train themed one, but not exactly by choice.

I was working all day and it is still way to wet to do any outside long exposures, so I headed for the one place in town that has some good cover and a bit of action.

I'm happy with how this one came out. I was just hoping the guys standing next to the train as the passengers disembarked would have stood still for just a second or two more.

... and no... I wasn't train surfing to get this shot ;-)

Early on 1st February, I discovered I hadn't taken a photo on the 31st, and the only footage I had was a couple of seconds I'd captured for 1SE (1 Second Everyday, which I stopped at the end of January). This is a screenshot taken from that video... sorry, it'll have to do!

2011 Boryeong Mud Festival.

My favourite weekend of the year in Korea. Every year the Boryeong Mud Festival attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country and abroad, making it Korea's most popular festival amongst non-Koreans. The agenda for the weekend is anything goes, so as long as you're muddy while you do it! Mud Festival invariably ends up being the year's biggest outdoor party, and you're bound to bump (or stumble...) into a few familiar faces while roaming the beaches, diving into the mud pits, or painting mud on friends at the mud fountains. The night is capped off with a K-Pop concert and an enormous fireworks display that would compete for the most impressive I've ever seen. What's not to love about Mud Fest?

It's no secret that I love Glee and this week they did original songs. One of them was titled "Loser Like Me". It talks about how you shouldn't let bullies get you down because when you're older, you'll have risen above them. One line in particular reminds me of what my mom used to say when kids picked on me in school and I've included it below.

"Shove me up against the locker. But Hey!, all I do is shake it off. I'll get you back when I'm your boss..."

I've also discovered a lighting setup that lights me pretty well. It's a place to start. When I'm comfortable with it, I will start trying variations on it.

Does anyone else see the humor in this? Was not planned, noticed after outfit was compiled.....

Got a haircut today. I had been trying to grow out my old highlights and as he was cutting (them off) he said, "that's the end of the old highlights." I almost cried! It was really weird. Perhaps it wasn't. Right now I am at the end of a cycle in my life and cutting those off is really symbolic of starting a new (more positive) phase in my life.

Today's Project 365 is of my Russian Kiev 30 that arrived yesterday.

Built similar to the original Kiev, feels solid and has a little weight to it.

I really like this one

From sovietcams.com

In a camera very little larger than its predecessor, the format is increased about 25% to 13x17mm on unperforated 16mm film. Same lens, same viewing angle, different format. The calculator disk is moved to the rear, near the viewfinder window, now featuring a round window instead of rectangular, as used on the Vega [3].

The clocks have moved forward an hour and we are in British summer time.

About a third of our garden is overrun with weeds so I've started the battle to regain control.

Kind of representative of how I'm feeling today.

Was driving past the lake during my lunch hour and saw these two guys enjoying the sunshine and wetting a line.

The fishing must not have been good, they moved on towards View Point soon after.
