"You could say I was the horse behind the throne." -Bukefalos

My friend, Julie brought me a couple of skeins of Lopi yarn from Iceland last year. I have been waiting for the right project to use them for - and I found the perfect sweater, a Lopapeysa, to utilize them. I needed some more yarn for the body - her skeins will be incorporated in the shoulder stranded color pattern.

Missed my second shot of this years Project365 as I was suffering from a headache. I took some Paracetamol but it didn't make any difference.

went to malham for a few days, thought i might do a few HDR images :) Malham Tarn

Wife came home with her new friends, so I had to use them for todays photo shoot.

Pardon me for posting same-day taken pics. Ugh, how i hate it too.

Wish I had the time to take photos each day. But...blame it on my work!

Disclaimer: I DON'T SMOKE.

I WASN'T BREATHING WHILE THIS WAS SHOT. ;)

Because of the writers' strike I am watching AXO play his Wii.

Pic #10 of 365 Moments 2008

Today's Project 365 photo comes from the small country town of Clunes where I was working this afternoon.

I loved the look of this old butcher's shop. If you are going to buy meat, make sure it is from a Quality Butcher.

Clunes is a great little town full of old buildings where time stands still.

Named after the British actor Martin Clunes in 1997* , many of the buildings in the town are from the Gold Rush era and although they have modern businesses in them, many still carry the same signage from previous occupants, with the current businesses using easily removable signage for when the town is used for filming.

Clunes has featured in productions such as Ned Kelly (Heath Ledger version), Mad Max and the ABC TV show Something In The Air, just to name a few.

A great little town with proud residents, fantastic architecture, unsecured wifi near the pub (... apparently) , not a speck of graffiti and an occasional flooding problem.

They also have a book festival every year in May which attracts 60 sellers, millions of books and 15,000 tourists.

*This may not actually be true. Just checking to see if you read these descriptions.

That's all I have from today... Tomorrow is a new day:)

Crooning with Domo. Got this cool Shure 55SW 'Elvis' mic from my mom. Not 'shure' what I am going to use it for yet, maybe cartoon voices, vlog or record a rendition of "Blue Suede Shoes"? In the mean time Domo stretches his pipes...can one croon to 'Mr. Roboto'?

I have wanted to take this picture for years. My little Anju is like a broken teddy bear but I can't fix his eye. Before I got him, when he was a tiny puppy not even 2 pounds he got bit in the face by a chow chow and lost an eye. I've always wished I could just sew on a button like you can to a bear who loses an eye.

Violet's favorite ball to chase in the house is very worn out and almost ripped in two. Claire bought a replacement from the same company (JW by Petmate) but it is slightly different and Violet refuses to fetch it. The original has long been discontinued so Leah sent an email to the company explaining the situation and seeing if they had any left over, and they sent one to us for no charge.

The first time I got a flat tire on my bike commute. Thankfully I was only about 4 blocks from home when it happened

Project 365 day 158 of 365.

Jodes got me some nice stemless Riedel wine glasses for my birthday. I find it a bit strange to have stuff that you don't use so I get them out at every opportunity now. Even for a tasty cleanskin!

We've been making great use of all the equipment the resort has on the beach.

It's a Saturday bag.

Be surprised if I posted my everyday bag. :D

From L-R:

1) my combie (just in case my hair gets all-tangled but i rarely use that anyways :D)

2) iPod Nano (for alone moments)

3) Menthol Cone (for migraine attacks)

4) Home and office keys + Led Flashies

5) Strawberry Born Lippy

6) My phone and fave eerie charm ;)

7) Egg Coin Purse

8) Mi gorgeous Saturday bag :)

I have no idea.

It was sprayed on a bin, not officially I suppose.

Today's Project365 photo is of some of the old signage on the side of a shop beside Pencilmark Lane in Ballarat.

I've altered the photo to make it more readable, but if you can't read it, it says:

Old suites repaired

Horse hair mattresses remade

Go carts & prams renovated

Saddlebags

Suites made of the ????

French polishing done

Hand-dipped chocolate-covered goodies at our local Godiva.

Feb 2 - Well, I didn't see a groundhog, but I did catch sight of this White Breasted Nuthatch at Mt. Auburn this morning.
