2013 - 360/365 - snow

End of the night growler to take home after work!

"Respite" - Day #19 of 365.

Went to Avila during a brief bit of sunshine during our week of storms. One surfer braved the waves which were hitting the floor of the pier and coming up through the slats - eek. Me? I'll stay well away from the water and be content to take photos of the dramatic waves, thankyouverymuch.

My fruit bowl sitting on top of a round place mat. Did major housecleaning today, and this just popped out at me as I did... no editing done at all.

Day-71: Life is like doing math, if you go too easy, probably you're doing something wrong :-).

It was the second meeting with the pub knitters - this time at The Pint Room in Carmel.

As anyone who has been folowing this Project365 will know, I am about to tke part in a production of Beauty And The Beast. This will be a "show in a week" at the Dunblane Centre. We gather on Monday morning and put on a show on the Friday evening. Wow!

We recently were given permission to give out some advertising leaflets for the show in the Thistles shopping centre, Stirling. Because of the short notice, however, only a few f the adult cast could go. And since the three characters you really want to see from this show are Belle, The Beast and Lumiere, a little bit of costume swapping had to go on.

So that is how I found myself in the Thistle Centre, dressed as The Beast, on a glorious Saturday afternoon. Gillian was of course Belle, and Leigh borrowed Lumiere's costume for the day.

The reactions from the public were great! We had loads of people asking to have their photographs taken with us - not just kids - probably more photos taken with adults than kids! And people seemed genuinely in the show too - I wonder how many will come?

Clearly I didn't take this picture, it was taken by Pamela, the director and organiser of the show. Thanks, Pam!

I was going to get a shot of the "National Week of Deaf People" projection on the front of Town Hall for tonight's Project365 shot, but there was too much light to get a decent photo.

The projection can be seen here though youtu.be/obN9xw5pVcU

I ended up doing some headlight trails instead.

A closer view of the statue can be seen on Day 64/365

I'm not a religious person by any stretch, but this one just seems to go along with the sentiment in my house today.

Today I rode my Vespa for the first time in a while. I really miss commuting on it.

Jun 14 The comb was a little dusty so I cleaned it thus the water droplet. Fascinating stuff I know :-)

erm. i really look quite weirddddd. never mind, the picture isn't the point. but my question is the point behind the picture.

What makes you a slut?

:O

i heard on the news this morning that a police officer in canada told a girl that she wouldn't have gotten raped if she didn't dress like a slut. so this raised uproar blah blah blah. but it made me wonder, what makes a girl a slut? im guilty of seeing girls in short skirts showing their cleavage etc and thinking of them negatively, but should i? should what i/you wear make me/you a slut? i think it sucks kinda, i think someone should wear what they like and not be afraid of whats going to happen to them or if someone is gonna call them names. after all its whats on the inside that counts? don't judge a book by its cover etc. so i guess i'm saying, just because a girl is showing her flesh, or is wearing bright red lipstick, doesn't mean she's a slut. does it?

Besides, if men can walk around topless, why can't girls walk around in a similar fashion?

i always thought if you were a slut it's because you slept with a lot of people. but now i don't know.

also, i think it doesn't matter what you wear, if you're gonna get raped, you're gonna get raped. regardless whether you're wearing a polo neck jumper and two pairs of trousers or a crop top and shorts.

I just wanna know what you think, what is your definition of a slut?

p.s. i guess my picture is me trying to be 'slutty'?

p.p.s. i'm not trying to start any arguments, and this isn't a feminism thing, i just wanna know your opinion. what makes a girl or a boy or both a slut?
