Completing expense forms is such an arduous task. It took me just over an hour this morning to submit everything through the system.

Day 27 Project365

A little self-portrait-love in the last days before baby comes, in the form of a fancy pedicure, shown off on our lush backyard.

Day 96 , Project365

My son participated in a county football tournament, organised by a professional football club, today. The weather has not been particularly good with rain, heavy winds and temperatures of 7C (45F). I was anxious that he might fall ill but thankfully it turned out to be an indoor event.

Chilly morning.

Thursday Theme - Big and small. Dad' steel toe boots and Delilah's shoes.

So... sorry to anybody who has been wondering where my Project365 has disappeared to over the past couple of weeks. I've been on holiday, and I'm not a great one for telling the world I'm about to leave the house empty for a fortnight! However, I'll be trying to catch up soon... prepare for some cheesy holiday snaps!

This is Marie and Jenni at Glasgow Airport, waiting for us to be allowed to board our slightly-delayed Jet2 flight to Nice. We were delayed an hour or so; not nearly so bad as the flight that was twelve hours late a few gates further along the corridor. That one had Police keeping order!

Once we got on to the flight, everything went smoothly. We got to Nice airport (a fun place; the runway extends out into the sea, and you can't see any land until the very last moment. You sit there, wondering if you're really on a sea plane!), then it became apparent that I had lost my mobile phone.

Some sweet nothings then ensued between husband and wife...

We got a note of the airport's lost property office phone number, then went to get our car. By now we were really late, and by the time we got to the camp site we were going to the only person we could find was the security guard. Luckily, he was able to raise a Eurocamp rep, and even though our car had to stay outside the camp site, we were able to get to our van and collapse for the night. Thank goodness that Eurocamp provided a bottle of wine on arrival :-)

Here is the finished product from the red yarn a couple days ago. My wife made a crochet Muno from Yo Gabba Gabba for our two year old son for his birthday.

It's been raining on and off this week, so an umbrella seemed like an appropriate photo. This sign has been on top of the Insurance Exchange Building since the early 1960s. Even though it is the former logo of the Travelers Insurance Company, the sign is still maintained by the current building owner. The sign is more than 3 stories tall, and is an icon in downtown Des Moines.

I took several photos of this, and had no idea which one to select for the daily shot. Even though the sign is neon red, I ended up going with a b/w photo because I liked how it gave the feel of an earlier era as well as the look of the fog rolling over the top of the building in the background.

Yes... they need to be cleaned... I can see that now!

RAW shot straight out of the camera (apart from the slight vignette added in photoshop). It took everything I am to stop myself from turning this into sepia ;-)

I had a new set of books for Christmas. I must go around with my eyes shut though (either that, or my glasses need a good clean!), because I have never heard of Edward Cullen or the books about him. Anyway.... I started reading the first in the series, and I can't put it down! I'm just over halfway through and have barely done anything else today but read!

So, having done this most of today, I thought it apt to take a photograph of what has taken up my time.

This is shot on my bedside table and yes... that's a photograph of me in the background, pregnant on my youngest - taken 20months ago now - how time has flown! Also seated behind the book, although you can see him in his entirety, is Tommy - he is one of my prized Deans Bears, bought for me by my husband some years ago.

Today's Project 365 pic was rather easy to get. I just stoop in the carpark at work and shot these guys working on the cellular equipment that is mounted on the old chimney stack next door.

While not as high as @jemban got in the cage at the new Ballarat Health Services site ( www.thecourier.com.au/multimedia/27929/ballarat-from-the-... ), it is still higher than I would like to go while hanging off a crane.

100 days of Project 365 to go!

Artwork close-up from last night. This was a very last minute photo to end the day. I fell asleep during the basketball game and at that time the Raptors were behind, and when I woke up Claire said the Raptors won. So that was a productive nap!

"I didn't get a lot in class

But I know it don't come in a shot glass..." ~Amy Winehouse (Rehab)

Oh no, My head is spinning a bit. We went to an art auction tonight in the heart of Sydney. Alex's Mum's school held an auction for the pre-school kids' artworks. One artwork was auctioned for $1000 - a group of 3 year old's sold a piece worth $750 and another piece for $750... I felt like such an under-achiever - so I decided to soak my subtle sorrow with some free champagne...

I'm just sobering up now, but the walls are still a bit tilted :o) Got work tomorrow. Hope you're having a happy and inebriated weekend dear friends. Drink responsibly... or at least have someone near by to drag your drunk ass back to the car and drive you safely home :o)

This has been my day. I hate being sick.

11.28.10

another day of goodbyes. taken during a layover at the dallas airport waiting to get myself back home to austin.

Rather than take the piss out of my Grandparent's record collection like I normally do, for today's Project 365 pic I thought I'd show this different one.

It is a promotional record from the Amoco Petrol company.

This 33 1/3 is called "Nice Clean Petrol"

It was probably free with a tank of fuel, but they now sell for $0.99 or the rarer ones sell for about $10.

The song "Where the Mind Can Breathe" sounded like this youtu.be/9jp9mhtPclw

Apparently there was also a picture disc with a photo of the car and people from the commercial at the time youtu.be/w4yHgjX75ys

This is my Pantone colour chart, lit from the window. I have a full Pantone set, but they took far too long to splay out, so I used the "100 top colours" chart as it was easier to layout.
