Our last blog ended with a list of b-schools that offer the deferred MBA option, so in this second part we will cover the b-schools that offer deferred MBA programs in the USA.
Most of these programs have a few elements in common. Applicants should be college seniors or graduates who are pursuing their Master’s degree. This means applicants should not be having any full-time work experience before applying. However, once admitted, they need to garner at least 2-5 years of experience before joining business school. 1.HBS 2+2: The most famed of all deferred MBA programs, HBS 2+2 is for current students who are either studying in college or in a Master’s program. Harvard looks for high potential candidates who desire to make a difference. Read more..

the ALDE group has started a visitors program
specifically targeted at young people (age +/- 16-21).
The aim is to offer an opportunity to youngsters, who do not have the connections or the means, to get acquainted with the EU institutions. The young adults will spend one
week in Brussels and get to know the working of the European Parliament, meet politicians and stakeholders.
The first group will visit from 13 to 16 April with a total number of 20 participants from 10 different countries. Each visit will run under a different "theme", this one being "Connecting Each Other". Therefore, we specifically want to incorporate topics relating
to Digital Agenda, Connected Continent, E-Society, Data protection, etc. into the program.
Inaugurated in 1996 by the Alumni Association, the Outstanding Alum Program recognizes excellence in community service by USAWC graduates after their retirement from government service. Any current Army War College Foundation member in good standing may nominate any U.S. Army War College graduate. Awarded without respect to active duty rank or positions held, the award is intended to celebrate the attitude of continuing service to communities or the nation.

Genera UNICACH programa para cuidado de la salud de los estudiantes
Comparten experiencia con redes universitarias

Favorecer la formación integral del estudiantado es el objetivo del
programa de Promoción y cuidado de la salud generado en la Universidad de
Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas (UNICACH), única institución en la entidad que
cuenta con un proyecto de esta naturaleza y que pertenece a la Red
Iberoamericana de Universidades Promotoras de la Salud (RIUPS).
Maricarmen Barranco Figueroa, responsable de la Oficina de Formación
Integral informó que desde hace un año se integró un equipo
multidisciplinario con jóvenes de Servicio Social de las licenciaturas en
Nutriología, Odontología, Psicología, Ciencias de la Tierra, Ingeniería
Ambiental y Topografía.
Este grupo de jóvenes ha impartido talleres sobre el manejo de estrés,
alimentación saludable, manejo de residuos y cuidado del ambiente al
estudiantado de la Sedes Regionales de la UNICACH, a quienes también les
brindan servicios odontológicos, seguimiento de peso y talla, y activación
física.
La experiencia de la UNICACH con este programa fue compartida en la pasada
reunión de la RIUPS realizada en Cuba, y será presentada en octubre ante
integrantes de la Red Mexicana de Universidades Promotoras de la Salud, de
la cual también es miembro la universidad.
Blarranco Figueroa detalló que dos de los participantes están realizando su
tesis con temas surgidos a partir del programa, además los jóvenes
obtuvieron el segundo lugar en el concurso de carteles en el pasado Quinto
Foro de Servicio Social, realizado en Chiapas.
Dijo que en este proyecto se vincula la oficina de Formación Integral y
Servicio Social, ambas dependientes de la Dirección de Extensión
Universitaria.
