This Geep was built as ACL 154 in February 1951 for the Atlantic Coast Line as a GP7. After the 1967 merger between ACL and SAL into the Seaboard Coast Line, this locomotive became SCL 742. As part of SCL's rebuild program, this Geep was overhauled at SCL's Uceta, FL shops into a GP16 and released as SCL 4776 in December 1981.
After the formation of the short-lived Seaboard System, the GP16 was renumbered to SBD 4776 before becoming CSXT 1822 after the formation of CSX.
CSX retired the locomotive in the 90's, selling it and some branch lines in West Virginia to the newly formed Gauley River Railroad. It received new paint and reporting marks as GRIV 1822 in preparation for the new job. Unfortunately, the GRIV operation fell through and the locomotive never turned a wheel for the Gauley River RR. This GP16 would spend some time leased to the Shenandoah Valley Railroad in Virginia (still as GRIV 1822), before being sold to Hardeman County Grain Co in 2006. The locomotive briefly became AARX 1822 for shipping across the country, then assumed its new role as HG 1822 on the plains of north Texas.
The grain elevator in Chillicothe is no longer owned by Hardeman Grain (it was purchased by Louis Dreyfus Commodities in the late 2010's, and then by Lone Star Grain in 2022), but this nearly 75 year-old Geep still wears its HG paint and reporting marks.

A page from the official program of the Second Atlanta Pop Festival,1970. This program was subject to change and it did. Everyone started late and many played at a different time from what was shown here. The music went until the early hours of each morning. I was a big fan of Jethro Tull but he was a no show. The Allman Brothers did start and end the show but I did not get any pictures of them - they were no so famous in my neck of the woods at that time. Jimi Hendrix did play on the fourth of July with a big fireworks show.
This is a contemporary photo of the original tabloid size program printed on newsprint. The 4 photos of the program in this set reflect the complete program except for some advertisements that I did not photograph.

This is really different from the work that i have been producing lately, But it seems like i have one decent conceptual piece every week and half or so . It would be cool if i could create more conceptual photos everyday but i just cant seem to find the time to set everything up.
And i guess the concept behind this photo is all explained in the title.

The set idea contains two buildings: the corner building has a café on the ground floor, a LEGO fan's apartment on the first floor, and a nice, cosy roof terrace. The second building has a small bakery on the ground floor and a small apartment on the first floor; but there's also an attic where minifigures can store their old stuff they're not using.
These houses are modular, which means you can connect them using technic pins and you can also easily remove/add multiple floors to them, and they’re compatible with the new LEGO road system. They have a much smaller footprint than classic modular buildings, but the facades and interiors are really detailed, so I hope AFOLs and younger builders will like this set.

This Saturday 10 volunteers organized a workshop to learn programming with the Scratch visual programming software and robotics with the Lego Wedo and Mindstorms kits to kids.
There have been a lot of other sessions for 3 years since we've started to promote this type of workshop.
Thanks to all these people and the organizations that provides knowledge, computers, resources kits and snacks (ADN Ouest, La ruche numérique, La cantine numérique, Devoxx4Kids, Coder Dojo, Coding Gouter, ...., as well as a large number of companies that are sponsors for these events)
For 31 years Christian Celebration Center in Midland, Michigan has been putting on extravagant Christmas programs with Choirs, soloists, and now dancers; all of professional recording star talent.

This isn't really a tradition, more like a sign of the times. These are the items we are donating to the "Stuff the Truck" event at our local High School today for their Backpack Program. We have over 70 families in our school district alone that are in need of food to keep their children fed over the weekends and holidays when school breakfasts / lunches are not available. How can we not give when we have so much and others have so little. 😢
