Plenário do Senado Federal durante sessão deliberativa ordinária semipresencial.
Na ordem do dia, duas medidas provisórias: a primeira cria o Documento Eletrônico de Transporte (DT-e), e a segunda cria o novo Programa Emergencial de Manutenção do Emprego e promove uma minirreforma na legislação trabalhista. Também na pauta do plenário, projeto de lei complementar que trata sobre auxílio para o setor cultural, projeto que permite edificações às margens de rios e lagos em área urbana, e projeto que cria o Programa de Proteção e Promoção da Saúde Menstrual. Senadores ainda podem votar projeto de lei complementar que garante o direito de se candidatar ao gestor público que tenha tido contas julgadas irregulares, e por último, projeto de decreto legislativo que susta que limita a contribuição das empresas estatais aos planos de saúde de empregados organizados sob a forma de autogestão.

The FFHL conducts a Child Sponsorship Program to provide primary and secondary educational financial assistance for economically marginalized families who are unable to pay for their annual tuition of $500.00 due to economic difficulties. FFHL believes that every child should have an opportunity to an education and no one should be turned away from attending class. The child sponsorship program is a seven year commitment from the 6th grade through the 12th grade.
The children attend the Terra Santa schools, administered by the Franciscan Custody, which are unique because their philosophy is to bring individuals together without any bias either to social class or to Christian or non-Christian students in terms of educational activities. The schools acquaint the student with the values of family life and of society so as to benefit from both. Each school attempts to meet the needs of all those who are deprived physically, morally, economically, and to welcome them as family. The policy of the Franciscan Terra Santa Schools has always been openness and service towards all.
In 2014, the FFHL Child Sponsorship Program provided $109,000 for 218 economically marginalized children, who would otherwise not be receiving an education, to attend classes in schools in Jerusalem, Jaffa, Ramleh and Bethlehem.

These programs are scattered along the Pacific Coast with the main projects in Puntarenas and Guanacaste provinces. Volunteers participate on the sea turtle preservation including monitoring and registering nesting patterns, record keeping of eggs, moving eggs to the hatchery, beach patrols, freeing of the newborns to the ocean. Experience not required, but anticipate strange work hours (middle of the night!) and lots of time spent on the beach. * Most births occur between July and November.
