The 2014-2015 TAI Seminar kicked off with a three-day retreat at the Radisson at Cross Keys in September. More than 40 teachers and artists learned how to integrate the arts into the classroom while aligning with the curriculum. Teaching artists gathered for a Maryland Wolf Trap professional Development course presented by Valerie Bayne Carroll and Penny Russell. The artists observed classrooms and practiced scaffolding and planning arts-based lessons to support child development for varying age groups.
