What I should be working on: my postcard design, belly bands, practicing backgrounds, people, etc... What I am working on-- gators!

I kept seeing friends draw gators and it'd been quite a while since I drew one (well not totally true but sorta) so I decided to work this up. I still have a lot more to do, more inks, details, adding in whites, working up a shade layer, coloring, etc, but I felt like showing a bit of progress work.

6x13 ish? Kind of want to tack on another sheet and make the mama full body while her babies swim around her! But that would be huge and no one would see it full size so I dunno.

Now all I feel like drawing is some ladies. Strange, huh? The grass is always greener...

I photographed my granddaughters while trying out my new Nikon Z6. But, for whatever reason, LR6 does not see its raw NEF files, compared to the NEF files created by the D750? This original image was Tiff.

Image created using particles obeying certain "gravitational" laws. Mostly variations on "accelerate toward/away from some particle unless some condition is met, in which case move toward/away from some other particle".

Made with processing (processing.org).

More growth forms. Decided to focus on exploring the range of self-limiting forms in the system for a new work, Limits to Growth.

This was another picture taken at the same time as '-Processed' that I decided to run through PS; Nik Filters are fun to play with. If only I could have taken this picture with these tones and colors in first place and avoid PS work, I would be a lot happier.

Pointy toe shoes, my only matching shoes to a dress...Well besides black.

These are preview images for the talk I am giving at UCLA tomorrow.

Miranda Parker as Ellipsis, a superheroine and member of the famed Punctuation League. :-)

This is from a studio shoot with the entire cast of "The Baffling Adventures of Question-Mark Man" by Bottled Spider. A really fun show about superheroes...and punctuation. What's not to like? :-)

Process Sketch: Bending Out of Course

Plan of in-progress piece.

This sketch was in my stolen sketchbook:

A different cropping option of Eva's last week photo. I liked the nose portion of the crop the best so decided to play with it. Now to decide what my fave is for the studio 26 assignment.
