The first step in the process is selecting the transfer you want to put onto your board. In this case I was working from a PDF of the board layout provided by tonepad.com. Since this was a PDF I was worried that there might be some scaling issues when we printed it. So we did some test copies. Sure enough the rulers that were provided next to the transfer were about 1/6" smaller than what they should be. So we ended up screen capping them, copying the screen cap to paint, cropping and then copy / pasting the cropped image to wordpad for printing. the final result was a little blown out but was exactly 2" x 1.5"

Ghost is a lightweight, 3d-printed stainless steel spinning top unlike any you’re likely to have seen. It's for sale from my Shapeways shop: shpws.me/wrNM.
Ghost already looks pretty good when it’s resting; but take it for a spin and it creates a fascinating, semi-transparent outline of a top.
Ghost’s wiry structure also makes for a very efficient spinning top geometry: we’ve already had it spin for about 1.5 minutes - pretty incredible for a 10 gram top.

The studio space in midst of it's cleaning. We added shelves to the printing table and a yellow darkroom grade lightbulb. Now we coat the screens, we can let them dry on the shelves and then use the yellow bulb to help use see when attaching the film to the screens(since the emulsion becomes light sensitive when dry).
This should really help in printing set up time and efficiency.

On press are printed front and back labels for Kentish Pip Cider. From root to glass our customer produces this outstanding medium dry cider with a skill and craftsmanship that can only be gained from a life spent on an apple farm. With a great product our customer needs a great label – a job that Etiquette is only to happy to complete. Our expert label printing team manufacture these labels from one of our custom materials and print them in the latest UV inks. A special varnish is also applied that allows the customer to overprint their much-needed variable information using a label printer.

Further Notes: Original artwork created by Smith & Ritchie. Smith and Ritchie were established in Edinburgh in 1853. The firm were multi colour offset printers who were specialist suppliers to the food packaging industry. They were located at Amphion Works in Albert Street. In 1963 Smith & Ritchie became the first printing company in Scotland to use a gravure press and produced reel fed work up to five colours. Smith & Ritchie moved to Livingston in 1986 and in 1991 became the first printing firm in Scotland to use a 10 station gravure press.
Smith & Ritchie have subsequently moved out to Livingston and survive today as Amcor Flexibles S & R. Amcor are originally an Australian company and now have operations in 36 countries around the world specialising in many printed products of which the food packaging that Amcor Flexibles S & R is one.
History: Smith & Ritchie were located at 71 Albert Street, Edinburgh.

Six Centuries of Type & Printing is a book by yours truly about the history of printing from Gutenberg’s development of mass-production of consistently cast metal printing types. (I dive briefly into the history owed to mostly anonymous printers before him, some centuries before.)
The book walks through all the varied technological developments that took us from c. 1450 to the present, including many elements often forgotten in modern times, like “flong” (paper page molds that made rotary presses possible), electrotyping (for reproducing printing types—and pirating them), and the pantograph.
Illustrated with a combination of historic line art and adaptations of modern photographs, and with jaunty endpapers designed by me featuring elements of printing production from hand molds to floppy disks, the book is designed to last the ages. This has been such fun...printing out my favorite phrase. I used foam produce trays to make the plate, and then rolled acrylic paint on. I printed on to manuscript paper and sentence strip...
