This is an electro printing block on a columbian press. Its is a line block of a catalogue image for the 1874 coalbrookdale catalogue it is 10inches wide (25cm). On the bed can be seen hempel quions and quoin key.

Acrylic sheet has crystal transparency and the rate of light transmittance is over 92%. Acrylic dyed with dye has good color development effect. In addition, acrylic sheet has excellent weather resistance, high surface hardness and surface gloss and better high temperature performance. I finally got around to having a go at printing a couple of my Nikon D40 photos for framing and hanging on the wall at home.

I've got a Oce Cs 2024 full colour inkjet printer in the office which we use for presentations to clients. The photo paper is on a long roll with size of print limited to a width of 609mm(2 feet) x 15,200mm(49feet+)!

I resisted the temptation to go mad and upsized 2 photos to just 26 inches long each. Including a small white border to help with mounting & framing they measure 8504 pixels x 5530 (appx 47 mega pixels) for the bridge shot which I printed at 300 pixels per inch and 6803 X 3792(appx 25 mega pixels) for the one of the Pier which I tried at 240 pixels per inch to see what quality was like.

Here's the results....I bought stock frames and re-matted them myself to fit after buying some A0 sized white mat card and one of those special angled mat cutters.

I was really pleased with the quality especialy considering that I know nothing about upsizing or printing or framing. The printed upsized photos look just the image on my screen with the same colour and contrast with no artifacts that I could see.

The printing cable stays attached to the Brother HL-5250DN all the time, and to print I just plug in the Dana and hit the print button on the Dana. The Dana is set up is print to a postscript printer - nothing needs to be done to the printer setup.

At the same time, I have the printer connected to my house network via ethernet. Only once, when my wife tried to print at the same time I was printing from the Dana, did I have a problem. The printer hung. Off-on, problem gone.
