This is the "S-Printing Horse" in front of Heidelberg's Printing Media Academy. It is 13 meters high and is cited to be the largest horse sculpture in the world. Its various elements symbolically represent different parts of document printing procedures.
It is a very simple operation to change the type height on the press. Just remove the rails and then expand the holes a little (approximately 0.5 mm) with a file. Now it is possible to adjust the press to work with French / German type height (23.56 mm) on the same way as on other table tops.

2.05 Assess the distinctive achievements of Chinese and Japanese civilizations. The printing of paper money was made possible because of the invention of woodblock printing during the Song dynasty. Students should think about what the transition from coins to paper money meant to the increase of trade. Students should also think about what the advent of woodblock printing says about Chinese society in the 9th century. Further Notes: Prior to the Digital Age, newspapers, books, posters, tickets, forms, and all other types of printed-paper were produced with a printing press. To form the words, moveable type was used and print blocks would be used along side to add images or decorations around the text. A print block is also known as a letterpress cut or a printing die.

Most full-color printing since the prospect became commercially feasible for large quantities in the second half of the 1800s involves combining cyan, yellow, and magenta inks with a key (black) plate. The black typically predominantly denominates, and helps reduce a muddy appearance with the use of cyan, magenta, and yellow for dark tones. However, a three-color process was also available, with a different blue. I'm not sure when this could be used, but this demonstrates the principles.
