A different medium for me. This is a conceptual piece regarding the trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and the intercession of Mother Mary, being symbolized by the roses intertwined around the triangle. Fall, 2014.

chylnd: @rypat thank you Ryan! I'm making plates for my thesis doc and will be using the graphics lab to make a good amount of them. I'm enjoying the limits of the process and working with my hands for a change...

12" x 5" 4 block print

Well the carving is done for the most part. Now to fix a slight registration problem with the background block and then decide on some colors. I almost like the bottom image the best, which is the reverse of the one above it.

I've made about 6 of these and now I'm carving the 4th block on a 4 block moku hanga-ish version, but I'm finding it a little difficult to carve the shapes that arent what you actually see when your brain thinks "trees" if that makes sense.

Printmaking demo at Gallery 510 Sunday... Yikes! Sloppy baren covering job caught on film.

And a few experimental cards. Absolutely love making cards this way. I have a 4" round plate chilling right now :)

This linocut shows how I imagine the great white stork of European folklore, who carries babies to new parents. The stork is printed in peachy pink ink on fun creamy Japanese kozo paper with colourful confetti-like inclusions, 28 cm by 21.6 cm or 11" by 8.5". There are 4 prints in the edition.
