Tissue paper design for children's clothing company

Print work.

We set Hosted Solution apart from the competition by developing a complete brand Identity system, positioning strategy, marketing collateral, direct mail and a fresh new dynamic web site that communicates swift, agile, dependable and state of the art. FA also created a set of corporate guidelines that would allow marketing personnel to refer to the correct usage of the new Hosted Solution logo along with typographic guidelines for newsletters and other marketing materials was set in place for them. FA researched, designed, and implemented the company into the market space in four short months, which was before schedule. Since the rebrand, Hosted Solutions has grown into a $200 million company servicing some of the biggest fortune 500 companies such as Bank of America and Skanska North America.

A nonsensical collection of phrases, overheard snippets & vintage propaganda.

My first tutorial for the good people at Creative Market is now live!

I will walk you through the process of re-creating a poster I call "Structure." We will go through all the steps, from conceptualization to execution.

I used quite a few resources from the Creative Market community along the way. This writeup should give you a glimpse of how versatile they all are.

I hope you'll enjoy the process piece. Until next one, cheers!

My Portfolio: Print Awareness Campaign

This print campaign – which includes a poster, postcard and booklet – was created to raise awareness about Celiac Disease, a prevalent hereditary condition that is widely unknown and undetected in America. If carriers of the disease remain undiagnosed, they can develop a host of other serious health problems as a result, some of which can be fatal.

The objective of this campaign was to visually demonstrate how commonly this disease goes undetected in America, using red acetate to illustrate the invisibility of this condition and color coordinated figures that demonstrate the human ratios of those affected by the disorder

Even client service studios need to walk around in their creative underwear from time to time, and Left Turn Only has never been afraid of our pale flabby inspirational nudity. “Angrybot at the Moment of Ascension to an Electric Dawn” is such a work. This is what happens when our artists play. || #art, #design, #atx, #production, #graphics, #graphicdesign, #printdesign #creative #photoshop #digitalart #digital #austin #studio #postproduction #agency #firm Check our profile for the full effect. || bit.ly/2brFdPA || bit.ly/1ggGri9 || #webseries #comedy #LTOtv #LeftTurnOnly #LeftTurnOnlyTV #web #series

This week, for our exploration of the 22 Professional & Artistic Fonts bundle, we are going to create a typographical poster promoting an alas fake chocolate festival. Yes, you have read that correctly: it’s all about chocolate today!

We’ll focus on techniques, tips, and tricks that will help us to design a file that will be ready to screen print. This printing technique has been around for a long time, and involves a manual process.

We’ll cover the limitations of the process, but also its advantages.

Identity close up.

FA's challenge was to create an identity for the 2008 event that clearly expressed its heritage, spirit, and passion for art in an authentic way. The identity needed to be positioned so that it would enable the event to resonate with multiple demographics. FA examined all brand communication elements, including the name, environment, and promotions. Focusing on the brand essence of the event, lineage, and tradition, FA created a new visual vocabulary for Artsplosure 2008.

Ladies and gentlemen, my latest process post for Design Cuts is live!

In these two mini-tutorials, I'll walk through my process to create two type-driven pieces.

One focuses on the idea of wanderlust, and leverages some delicate script type from their current bundle.

The second poster is a mock horror B-movie poster. It features all the grunge, grime, blood splatters, and fake folds you could ever want.

I hope you'll enjoy following along as much as I enjoyed writing the post! I believe these pieces will help you to get a sense of how much is possible with the 30 different type families present in the bundle. Don't miss out on it.

This was a huge project for us. My role was to do the actual production & layout in this piece, as well as re-creating most of the text styles from the previous year to account for legibility, better organization, an updated format, spacing issues, as well as bringing the cover in-line with our existing admissions materials. Because of cost concerns, we chose to go for 1-color printing on the inside, and due to the thickness of the paper, I made the choice to use 90% black as our darkest fill in order to not overwhelm the stock.

Client: Maestro 1 Productions

Media: Logo and Business Cards

Target:Musicians and Producers

Description: This project was done for Maestro 1 Productions by Matthew Binks whom I have done previous work for with his musical group Under Heaven. Matthew needed a business card for when he went to Popkomm regarding musical business and his band. He initially came to me looking for something simple that he would be able to pass out.

My objective was to make the simple yet sophisticated. I used a musical staff as the background because it proved to be an interesting graphical element. I have always loved the tone-on-tone look so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a try. The background of the card is 95% black with a musical staff being 100% black. I wanted the staff to stand out so I had the business cards printed with a UV Varnish Coating so when it was it with the light you would see it pop out. I had the cards printed at print100 with double-sided matte lamination and Varnish Coating.
