DANES Planning is a small consulting firm that was formed in 2002 and provides full service healthcare planning to its clients.
The challenge was to make this relatively small company come across as a major player in the market through the effective combination of color and symbol. The Danes "Bug" was developed through typographic studies of the root words that make up the company moniker those being Daniel and Esther from the old testament.
Not Lego, sorry, but instead a witty piece of graphic design I made back in April that I felt needed to see the light of day.
The idea is that Keanu Reeves, as we all know, has only one emotion - his serious, stoical face. In this kit, you can make a Keanu body and choose one of many emotions for him to wear. The catch is; they're all the same. Oh ho ho.
I ended up giving this to my English teacher after my exams, as she's a big Keanu fan. Apart from The Matrix, I don't know what all the fuss is. Seriously.

This week @spoonflower the challenge asks to design a maximalist folk pattern, with abundance of colour and elements from the nature, influenced by Scandinavian Folklore. FA embarked on a comprehensive brand strategy phase to understand TowerCo's business goals. TowerCo recognized the value in FA's approach to their brand and, upon reviewing initial concepts for a new visual identity, expanded the project to a complete corporate identity program. FA created a new brand for TowerCo, articulating strategy and positioning, and extending the look and feel into marketing collateral, signage, website, and guidelines. The new graphic identity builds on the traditional strengths of the brand and signals TowerCo's commitment to leading the industry in Tower Ownership.

It had been two years since my last Fillmore poster and despite saying I had “retired”, I couldn’t pass up doing something for PUP.
Being a big fan of this band, I wanted to do something that was a nod to the messy, drunken subject matter in their songs. An empty and crushed beer can with the band becoming the brand and the show info replacing the boilerplate marketing copy just felt right.
The PUP logo is an homage / amalgamation of all the classic low-brow beer labels you’d see at any dive punk bar (like the on-the-nose use of the gothic “German” type in the sub copy and the vintage-y character fill in the PUP logo).
I also felt like I needed to do something I hadn’t done in previous Fillmore work and this concept allowed me to incorporate not just design, but also original photography.

Hello all! I’m excited to share with you my first tutorial on the new version of the Design Cuts site.
It looks like a main theme within the modern creative design bundle is space. After Pam’s great ’80s, candy-flavored version, we will focus on a more contemporary and Sci-Fi vibe for our piece.
We will use the bundle’s content to create a poster with a slightly mysterious vibe for Galaxy Machine, a fictional up-coming movie directed by Duncan Jones, and starring Sam Rockwell, Sigourney Weaver, Bruce Willis, Sandra Bullock, Ethan Hawke, and Natalie Portman.
this is a logo that was created for our children's ministry last year. at the time it was created, a lot of renovations were being done to the children's building. the area is "mayberry-esque" with lots of murals of storefronts and shops, with a sort of modern-vintage feel.
(thanks for the comments everyone, i do appreciate the feedback... but there's no changing this baby. it's completed and approved and messed around with to the hearts-content of our children's minister.)

Description: This project was done for Maestro 1 Productions by Matthew Binks whom I have done previous work for with his musical group Under Heaven. Matthew needed a business card for when he went to Popkomm regarding musical business and his band. He initially came to me looking for something simple that he would be able to pass out.
My objective was to make the simple yet sophisticated. I used a musical staff as the background because it proved to be an interesting graphical element. I have always loved the tone-on-tone look so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a try. The background of the card is 95% black with a musical staff being 100% black. I wanted the staff to stand out so I had the business cards printed with a UV Varnish Coating so when it was it with the light you would see it pop out. I had the cards printed at print100 with double-sided matte lamination and Varnish Coating.

unending dream is a photobook three years in the making; it traverses a wide range of themes related to human connection, reality, meaning, and conviction, as represented by the things I’ve seen, people I’ve met around the world, and poetry I’ve written over that span of time. It is therefore a very personal–almost diaristic–work, but ultimately is relatable universally on a human level.
I’ve been shooting film for over three years now with the idea that one day I would craft a loose narrative and compile a selection of it into a photobook. unending dream is that book. Although it contains photographs from the past three years, I have been working on the concept, writing, design, and production of the book myself for almost two years. And now–finally–reservations for the limited first edition are open!
For the first edition, I plan to produce an exclusive signed, numbered, and hardcover version of the book with a local printer here in Toronto (pictured here is a test softcover copy). A limited run of approximately 20-30 copies will be produced. I am targeting a mid- to late-March release and shipping.
