Nice illustration from the owners manual

Fifty Principles of Sogetsu #34 ‘The harmony of flowers and containers should fill the entire space’ fits the bill for this arrangement – using a selection of Succulents, Taro leaves and a fantastic Lichen covered branch certainly fills the space. Viewing this arrangement was very relaxing

I've always wanted to do a shot like this and am really happy with the way it came out.

Middle school students at Inspired Teaching Demonstration School created posters for each of the 13 principles of the Black Lives Matter movement and wrote about each one. The 13 principles were displayed in the school's community space along with the Black Lives Matter Mural. www.dcareaeducators4socialjustice.org/blm/inspired-teaching

1. Unity: This sunflower achieves unity because it's repetitive seeds come together to form a beautiful flower. It is many small parts working together.

2. Balance: The balance I see in this photo comes from the leaf in the bottom-left foreground paired with the leaves in the top-left drawing the eye into the corner.

3. Variety: These glass display balls display variety because of the different plant and rock combinations in each display, and the varied shape and size of the glass containers.

4. Harmony: I believe this photo has harmony because of the off-centered balance of the two flowers, which makes the scene feel candid and natural.

5. Proportion: The cookies fade out of focus as the eye travels down the line, which shows the proportion of the cookies.

6. Contrast: This image contrasts the dark seeds hanging down from a branch vs. the light colors in the background.

7. Rhythm: The parallel lines created by the lampposts and the lens flare creates a rhythm as the lights change in brightness.

8. Movement: This picture uses long exposure to capture the slight movement of the subject.

9. Emphasis: The hard outlines of the leaf contrast the dark wood of the stump, drawing the eye and creating emphasis.

the principles of French picturesque garden theory. I argue that the picturesque is not the product of an interaction between the two arts, but rather the product of a parallel development which is predicated on the recognition and appreciation of artifice in opposition to nature and shared by both art forms. The ramifications of picturesque garden theory are interpreted in the iconography of the Bains d'Apollon. When Hubert Robert was given the commission to create a new setting for Girardon's sculptures of Apollo Attended by the Nymphs of Thetis, the monument was designed to recall the earlier history of the Grotto of Thetis. Robert's artificial rocher exploited the myth of Mount Parnassus: Louis XVI, like his great grandfather, would bring the arts and sciences to Versailles. However, the contrived naturalism of the Bains d'Apollon stressed man's harmony with nature thus mitigating the allegorical message and its potential political power.

Karen Fox used her background as a registered nurse to draw important conclusions concerning Christian principles in business and life.
