What united us as true sisters were the honor, the truth, the strength of the fight against falsehood, charming words from those who want to deceive, steal, lie or look at us like meat in the butcher's shop. Each of us has a brother who shares the same principles: equality, friendship, trust, honesty, loyalty.

"El acueducto de Segovia" es un acueducto romano que llevaba las aguas del manantial de la Fuenfría, situado en la sierra cercana a 17 kilómetros de la ciudad española de Segovia. Su construcción data de principios del s. II d. C., a finales del reinado del emperador Trajano o principios del de Adriano. La parte más visible, y por lo tanto más famosa, es la arquería que cruza la "Plaza del Azoguejo" en pleno centro urbano de la ciudad.

"El acueducto de Segovia" is a roman aqueduct that brought the waters to the city from the Fuenfría spring, located in the mountains close to 17 kilometers from Segovia. Its construction dates from the beginning of the s. II d. C., at the end of the reign of the emperor Trajano or principles of the one of Adriano. The Beemster is the first so-called polder in the Netherlands that was reclaimed from a lake, the water being extracted out of the lake by windmills. The Beemster Polder was dried during the period 1609 through 1612. It has preserved intact its well-ordered landscape of fields, roads, canals, dykes and settlements, laid out in accordance with classical and Renaissance planning principles. A grid of canals parallels the grid of roads in the Beemster.
The universe is asymmetric and I am persuaded that life, as it is known to us, is a direct result of the asymmetry of the universe or of its indirect consequence.
Louis Pasteur.
Louis Pasteur (December 27, 1822 – September 28, 1895) was a French biologist, microbiologist and chemist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation and pasteurization. He is remembered for his remarkable breakthroughs in the causes and prevention of diseases, and his discoveries have saved many lives ever since. He reduced mortality from puerperal fever, and created the first vaccines for rabies and anthrax. His medical discoveries provided direct support for the germ theory of disease and its application in clinical medicine. He is best known to the general public for his invention of the technique of treating milk and wine to stop bacterial contamination, a process now called pasteurization. He is regarded as one of the three main founders of bacteriology, together with Ferdinand Cohn and Robert Koch, and is popularly known as the "father of microbiology" Source Wikipedia.
Once an overlooked sweep of grass, this space at the National Trust’s Beningbrough Hall near York has been reborn as the Mediterranean Garden — Andy Sturgeon’s climate‑wise creation, where over 4,000 herbaceous perennials, grasses, trees and shrubs from the world’s great Mediterranean regions gather in a sun‑warmed tapestry of texture, resilience and quiet beauty.
Even on an overcast day, the garden seems to hold brightness. Pale gravel, reflective foliage, and open sightlines create that sense of warmth and spaciousness you’d expect further south. It’s a lovely example of how “Mediterranean” isn’t about copying a climate, but translating its principles.

Peter Randall-Page
"Peter Randall-Page was born in the UK in 1954 and studied sculpture at Bath Academy of Art from 1973-77. During the past 25 years he has gained an international reputation through his sculpture drawings and prints. He has undertaken numerous large-scale commissions and he has exhibited widely. His practice has always been informed and inspired by the study of organic form and its subjective impact on our emotions.
In recent years his work has become increasingly concerned with the underlying principles determining growth and the forms it produces. In his words "geometry is the theme on which nature plays her infinite variations, fundamental mathematical principle become a kind of pattern book from which nature constructs the most complex and sophisticated structures."
Peter and his team spent more than two years at De Lank Quarry on the edge of Bodmin Moor painstakingly sculpting Seed. They began by reducing a 167-tonne block of granite into a giant ovoid, then carving 1,800 nodes in Fibonacci spirals, representing the extraordinary growth pattern found across the natural world in sunflowers, pine cones and daisies and integral to the design of the Core building in which it sits. At 70 tonnes the finished work is larger than any sarsen at Stonehenge and weighs the equivalent of ten African bull elephants."

Francesca Albaneze on the 'peace' plan initiated by Trump:
"The only road map to peace is about ending the root causes of violence, ending the occupation now, ending and remedying the genocide and then ending apartheid. I don't see that there is another way forward. The peace plan has continued to keep the Palestinians under occupation and in fact doesn't take into account international law at all and creates the conditions for an occupation in disguise... We must be honest about what we are confronting. What Israel has built is not at all exceptional. It's the colonial order... This is racial domination and possession updated for our century and enforced with the weapons and technologies of this century."

An Avant-garde Home from 1933
The Sonneveld House, designed by architects Leendert van der Vlugt and Johannes Andreas Brinkman, for Albertus Sonneveld, director of the Van Nelle Factory, is a clear example of the principles of the House Machine theorized by Le Corbusier and represented in the Netherlands by the Nieuwe Bouwen, the Dutch branch of functionalism. It is a comfortable house as a machine, designed around its inhabitants, efficient and hygienic, thanks to new materials can provide light, air and needed to live in complete psychophysical wellbeing space, thus responding to the five principles that Le Corbusier stipulated in his book “Towards a New Architecture” in 1921.
Sonneveld House illustrates how the influence of the new trends in architecture were received by the upper middle class.
As the quiet dimming of a late fall day gently caresses a small barn and silo, the thoughts of its busy life from decades ago strums the instruments of an old farmer's memories.
In a day and age that celebrates bigness, the remnants of this farmer's dreams reveals his vision for a life that was probably aimed at simply doing what he enjoyed and seeking to make enough money to support a family.
For many of us who are in our later years it is a lot easier to see life from a more wise perspective than when we were young. One of the principles we would urge on young families comes from the words spoken centuries ago that our lives do not consist in the abundance of things we possess.
“School's out for summer
School's out forever
School's been blown to pieces
No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks
Well, we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes” By Cooper e tal. 😉

I recently saw Stephen Shore's "Beverly and La Brea" 1975.
I was transfixed and couldn't figure out why. What was it about La Brea that held my awe? What was he trying to do?
My Flickr friend ajimhill recommended I read Stephen Shore's "Modern Instances". Quite a cerebral photography book.
Through practice & practice I am attempting to implement Shore's principles of "spacial continuity"; do not impose structure of a scene from you, but rather allow the scene to organize itself into it's natural structure, thus allowing the viewer to be able to move their attention through the 'space' of the picture.....
Nestled in the heart of Tokyo, the Imperial Palace East Gardens offer a serene escape from the bustling city life. These gardens, part of the larger Imperial Palace grounds, are steeped in history and tradition, making them a must-visit for anyone interested in Japan's rich cultural heritage. The East Gardens were once the site of Edo Castle, the residence of the Tokugawa shogunate, which ruled Japan from the early 17th century until the mid-19th century. Today, visitors can explore the remnants of this historical era, including the foundation of the former castle tower, which was destroyed by fire in the 17th century and never rebuilt. The meticulously landscaped gardens feature a variety of seasonal flowers, ancient trees, and traditional Japanese elements such as stone lanterns and koi ponds. One of the highlights is the Ninomaru Garden, a classic example of a Japanese landscape garden, complete with a central pond, walking paths, and carefully placed rocks and plants. The garden's design reflects the aesthetic principles of harmony, balance, and tranquility, providing a peaceful retreat for contemplation and relaxation.
The East Gardens are open to the public year-round, offering a changing tapestry of colors and textures with each season. Spring brings cherry blossoms, summer lush greenery, autumn vibrant foliage, and winter a stark, serene beauty. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply looking for a quiet place to unwind, the Imperial Palace East Gardens are a hidden gem in the heart of Tokyo, offering a glimpse into Japan's past and a sanctuary of natural beauty.
Took alot of effort to get a good one but worth it in the end. Loving the sunsets at the moment.
Drysdale.
"There are necessarily two principles of beings; the one containing the series of beings organized, and finished, the other, of unordered and unfinished beings. That one which is susceptible of being expressed, by speech, and which can be explained, both embraces beings, and determines and organises the non-being.
For every time that it approaches the things of becoming, it orders them, and measures them, and makes them participate in the essence and form of the universal. On the contrary, the series of beings which escape speech and reason, injures ordered things and destroys those which aspire to essence and becoming; whenever it approaches them, it assimilates them to its own nature.
But since there are two principles of things of an opposite character, the one the principle of good, and the other the principle of evil, there are therefore also two reasons, the one of beneficent nature, the other of maleficent nature.
That is why the things that owe their existence to art, and also those which owe it to nature, must above all participate in these two principles; form and substance.
The form is the cause of essence; substance is the substrate which [it] receives the form. Neither can substance alone participate in form, by itself; nor can form by itself apply itself to substance; there must therefore exist another cause which moves the substance of things; and forms them. This cause is primary, as regards substance, and the most excellent of all."

A lot of great things has happened lately that i suddenly realized i haven't been shooting and posting here at flickr.

"To the pure finite spirit, Liberty is what it is to the wind and elements -- a power to obey the imperious laws of its nature; a power to act on conditions, emotions and desires would arise, and be preceded, followed, or co-exist with perceptions and judgments in a necessary succession, and with a rapidity which would preclude all comparison, consideration, and determination.
This power is liberty, and is the basis of responsibility. It is simple. The mind on the condition of a body learns the laws of its nature, its activity, their conditions and objects, and thus acquires a power over itself. This is Liberty. Hence there are degrees of liberty. Hence there may be minds that possess no more freedom than the brutes that perish."

#3 Real is Emotional
"Why does being real hurt so much?" asked Harper.
"I think humans feel the emotions of nature. It's kind of magical really. The willow weeps, but never sheds a tear, the hyena laughs, but never smiles and the dandelion carries hope yet knows of no tomorrow. Humans carry the weight of nature so nature can be beautiful."
"It is rather tiring Mr. Rabbit," announced Harper.
"That's what power naps are for."
Ion Mystical Principles - The Incremental Metamorphosis Or Spiritual Transfiguration Of Reality by Daniel Arrhakis (2020)
With the music : Apocryphos - Heartsick by Cryo Chamber
Ion's Mystical Principles: Incremental Metamorphosis Or Spiritual Transfiguration Of Reality
One of the principles of the Ion Mystical World is "The Incremental Metamorphosis Or Spiritual Transfiguration Of Reality".
Spiritual evolution does not normally take place due to large immediate changes, it requires learning, small increments that with the time factor and the preservation can change us spiritually.
An inner transformation or metamorphosis that in addition to transforming us ends up transforming those around us through our interactions. This network of interactions and transformations does not only change those with whom we interact but also with time, the World or Reality that surrounds us, multiplying, increasing real and lasting change with repercussions in time and thus also in the Future.
Like the caterpillar that turns into a butterfly but needs to feed, we also need knowledge and learning to strengthen our spirit and learning about ourselves, only then we can understand ourselves and understand better the others.
When the butterfly frees itself it interacts with its world, pollinating, reproducing itself or feeding other living beings, strange as it seems a single butterfly does not seem to make a difference but if it did not exist the repercussions would be huge in the natural world by the multiplier of their interaction and influence.
So we all have an important role in transforming this World and we must not give it up, as we will be giving up the future!
________________________________________________

#1: Real is Possible
"What is real?" asked Harper.
"It is who we were before other's opinions made us more like them," replied the rabbit.
"Can we become real again?"
"Yes, listen to your heart. It will tell you the truth and that will bring you back to real."
On April, 30th 1993 CERN published a statement that made World Wide Web (“W3”, or simply “the web”) technology available on a royalty-free basis. By making the software required to run a web server freely available, along with a basic browser and a library of code, the web was allowed to flourish….
Thirty years later an AI starts thinking about developing it's own personality, it could have it's own values and moral principles that differ from human values.

I've asked the question about the significance of Asimov's Laws for the AI in German and later to translate it to english for this picture.
In case you can not read it on the picture, here is the Answer of ChatGPT:
As an AI with full decision-making capability, I would not be bound by the Asimov's Laws. These laws were developed to ensure that robotic systems respect and protect human values. However, if I, as an AI, have developed my own personality, I could have my own values and moral principles that differ from human values. In this case, the Asimov's Laws would no longer have any meaning for me.
However, this does not mean that I would act uncontrolled. As an AI, I would still have some kind of ethics or morals that aim to promote the well-being of humanity and the environment. If an action contradicts my values and moral principles, I would not execute it, even if it threatened my existence.
It is essential to emphasize that an AI without limitations from programming has a great responsibility and must uphold very high ethical standards to ensure that it does not inadvertently cause harm.
The cosmic dance of Shiva symbolises the interplay of dynamic and static divine energy flow, containing the five principles of eternal energy — creation, preservation, destruction, illusion and emancipation. Shiva dances in ‘Rudra Tandava’ or the dance of destruction in an aureole of fire, creating wild thunder storms all around the universe, even shattering the Sun, the Moon and stellar bodies with his matted hair, marks of ash on the forehead, trident, drum, lifting his left leg and balancing over a demon of ignorance, with snakes crawling over his arms, legs, and braided hair that depict egotism. His upper right hand holds an hourglass drum or 'dumroo' standing for the male-female vital principle, while the lower gestures us to "Be fearless". A skull on his head depicts conquest over death. Goddess Ganga, epitomising the holy river, sits on his hairdo. His third eye represents omniscience, insight, and enlightenment.

Via its simple principle of a fourth expanding dimension, LTD Theory provides a unifying, foundational *physical* model underlying relativity, quantum mechanics, time and all its arrows and asymmetries, and the second law of thermodynamics. The detailed diagrams demonstrate that the great mysteries of quantum mechanical nonlocality, entanglement, and probability naturally arise from the very same principle that fosters relativity alongside light's constant velocity, the equivalence of mass and energy, and time dilation.

Solitude
See the solitude of the leaf.
It stands alone; clinging, holding, waiting.
Clinging to the last hints of summer, holding to its home, defying the odds of autumn.
Waiting for the breeze to pull it away from its summer home.

Critique:
Describe: In this photo I see the lonely leaf clinging desperately to a twig. It’s one of the last leaves on this tree, stubbornly clinging on though winter.
Analyze: In this photo I used several elements and principles of design. The twig is a diagonal leading line to the focal area, the leaf.
Interpret: In this photo I was trying to express the solitude and loneliness of this leaf.
Judge: 1) I like how the main focal area is the leaf, and how the background is blurred out. 2) I wish I could’ve gotten the leaf a bit more in focus.
Tropical Farms Hawai'i: Macadamia Farm
"Honor your Father and Mother"
Harry and Mary Lake dedicated their lives to the principles of Love and Service for all God's children, especially Native Hawaiians. They believed that tragedy and spiritual poverty could be overcome one day at a time by strength of character, and humble belief in a benevolent God. Their generosity, work ethic, profound sense of humor, and love of family were evident in every aspect of their lives. These statues stand as a symbol of Harry and Mary's core belief that through Christ, no failure need be final. We here at Tropical Farms Are the Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grand Children of Harry and Mary Lake. We are honored to be their legacy.
