Alstroemeria psittacina, with the common names Peruvian lily, parrot flower, parrot lily, lily of the Incas, princess lily and New Zealand Christmas bell.
Princess is recovering from a spinal injury. We are not sure how she managed to do that but her vet thinks is it possible she injured her back jumping from the bed. Thankfully she is responding well to her pain meds and anti-inflammatory meds.
Princess is the feminine form of prince (from Latin princeps, meaning principal citizen). Most often, the term has been used for the consort of a prince, or her daughters.
For many centuries, the title "princess" was not regularly used for a monarch's daughter, who might simply be called "Lady" or a non-English equivalent; Old English had no female equivalent to "prince", "earl", or any royal or noble aside from the queen, and the women of nobility bore the title of "Lady"

Princess Place Estate
In 1791 the King of Spain offered a 1,100-acre land grant to Franciso Pellicer. Henry Mason Cutting purchased the property in 1886, renaming it to Cherokee Grove, Featuring local materials including tabby block cladding, cedar and palm tree trunk posts, and pink coquina. The Adirondack Camp-style lodge was constructed in 1887. The complex included servant’s quarters, a caretaker house, tennis courts, stables, bathhouse, pool house, and the first in-ground concrete swimming pool in Florida. The lodge became an entertainment center for many socially prominent American and New York families, as well as European royalty. Cuttings died in 1892, leaving a widow, Angela Mills cutting and two small children. Angela later married an exiled Russian Prince, Boris Scherbatoff, a member of the Russian royal family. Because he feared for his life, the Prince later changed the spelling to Scherbatow. After Prince Scherbatow died in 1940, the Princess used the lodge as her primary residence. For this reason, it became known as the Princess Estate. In 1954, Princess Scherbatow sold the property to Lewis and Angela Wadsworth, one of the founding families of Flagler County. Flagler County purchased the property in 1993 as a preserve.

Over the years this has been the spot for our-door weddings, celebrations, meetings, fishing, canoeing, hiking, retreats, and offers tent camping . Early morning visitors are often treated with sightings of deer, owls, alligators, horseback riders, armadillo, rabbits, bald eagles, feral pigs, and a collection of shore birds. Recently a covered bridge was added to the location to add to the peaceful ambience. Just a great place to enjoy nature, throw a fishing line, or unwind from a stressful week. Treat yourself like a Prince or Princess. Make a visit to Princess Place Estate.

J'ai pris une trèèès longue séance de Sigrid chez @Indobabe (et toutes ses miniatures absolument géniales). C'est juste un tout petit extrait de la séance, le reste viendra plus tard sinon j'inonderais flickr. C'était pour un projet photo mais au final ça colle très bien à son personnage, Sigrid étant la plus belle et la plus triste des princesses que Katia sauva.
