Full frame. No crop. No post processing.
Another shot at Hillarys boat harbour. Taken at dawn the light plays nicely on the boat hulls. The marina is currently undergoing a major redevelopment to improve the moorin infrastructure.
From the summit of Mt Sonder after predawn ascent in darkness, dawn alpenglow lights the foothills. On the Larapinta Trail, Central Australia.
This was a hurried shot on my morning ride. The predawn blue light is just magical. This was taken at Burns Beach
Pre-dawn on the fen. Noticed this chap/chapess making its way towards me - so stayed as still as I could taking the occassional shot. It didn't appear disturbed and I was able to slink back into the wood like a Ninja - without having spooked it. Result!
The white stuff is mist rather than an early morning reed clearance exercise by the RSPB.
From my first predawn morning at "the Bosque", we heard we should be early so we got to the "staging area" before dawn - in fact, it was still so dark you could hear all the wonderful sounds of the sandhill cranes at the pond, but you couldn't SEE them. So this one is pre-sunrise, and it was the only morning we got some great color in the sky. The cranes were there, and the geese actually flew in before a later "blast-off". I added a link to the video below - check it out with sound up and be submerged in the spectacle.
Point Cartwright again, about 5 minutes before daybreak. Navigation lights still on the container ships. Decided to give Kodak Portra a red hot go this week, diving photos as well.
Quite happy.

Pre Dawn sky over the Hudson river and New York's west side. The Morning clouds are reflecting the sun over a New Jersey pier with a Gazebo.
Kodak Ektar 100, f/22 30s. Interestingly, actually the name of the surf break, not just a whimsical title…
Predawn monsoonal thunderstorms with nearly continuous lightning departed just in time for the sun's rays to illuminate the receding showers producing this beautiful double rainbow.
