Another view of the beautiful architecture as the sky began to brighten up. I couldn't stop admiring how the wind mills have become a part of the landscape.
Dawn at Blea Tarn - A perfectly calm and serene spring day dawns at Blea Tarn.
The pre-dawn light just picks out the Langdale Pikes and sees them perfectly reflected in the wonderfully still water of the tarn, as the faintest hint of dawn mist just grazes across the surface of the tarn.
Lake District, Cumbria
Misty conditions over Castleton before the mist covered everything.

A stylish young woman saunters down White Street Pier, savoring the ambience of a tropical Spring evening in Key West, Florida.

A photo taken across from the boat ramp beach to the Hillarys Marina at dawn. If you look in the water you will see a group of swimmers who come down to take a communal dip at dawn everyday throughout the colder months. The light is both beautiful and different everyday down there. You can see the sun starting to paint colours on the clouds at this early part of sunrise.
Taken predawn on the second day of our trip, this image represents the wonderful lighting the square is lit by before the sunrises. Its difficult to balance the lights with the first light hence the HDR treatment.
This photo was taken during my 2018 visit to Hue, Vietnam. The location was along the bank of the Perfume river. I was going for the iconic Trang Tien bridge but it was too dark at the time, so the next best thing was the pre-dawn photos of the tranquil water before life gets busy on the river itself.
A pre dawn shot from St Mary's Lighthouse this morning . There wasn't much colour and the water was flat . Thanks for looking
AKA Scentless false mayweed, scentless mayweed, scentless chamomile, wild chamomile, mayweed, false chamomile, Baldr's brow, peltosaunio (fin).
Taken with Canon FD 85mm F1.8 / Full frame sensor / Natural light / Lightroom.
Similar to the one I posted the other day but more zoomed out. I have tried more of a letter box crop on this one.
woke up early. the moon was so thin, maybe 2 percent thin. I shot handheld with the slightest icm. i rotated the shot in post because somehow it worked better to my eye, so I apologize to purists. is Mars right now a little to the left of the moon? ...because that little sparkle was in every shot.
Like Ufos just before taking off, these rocks are hovering in a drizzly predawn at the coast of Madeira.
I was hoping for a glorious sunrise but what I got was a heavily clouded, somewhat drizzly seascape. :))
This picture is the result of a predawn with a very low cloud level shutting out the light and a rough sea, a ten stop/neutral density filter, 3 minutes of exposure time with a camera and lens carefully sheltered from the drizzle.
Very early up on Mam Tor.

Predawn shot at Hillarys Boat Harbour. This was taken with Fujifilm Film Simulation mode. They are currently renewing a lot of the moorings at the Marina and this rig removes old mooring posts and replaces them with new ones.
The minutes just before the breaking of dawn is a pretty special time of day. On the way to Naast on the Loch Ewe shoreline, I stopped to capture the view.
As I did so, and as if the visual scene wasn't enough, my over-riding memory was of the absolute stillness and the powerful absence of any sound.
