this is probably one of the most strangest transmission line ive ever seen

This is the only 69KV line I've ever seen on Cleco's grid. They purchase power from LUS to feed the neihboring city of Breaux Bridge.

These crossarms have been flexed and breaking for over 5 years now. I've been waiting for them to either replace them or for them to snap.

1401 J Street, Eureka

Built in 1904

The "Inventory" section of Eureka: An Architectural Review (© 1987) describes the house as a "two-story frame Queen Anne Colonial revival house with decorative brackets at bay and classically inspired porch."

 

I love how the slanting sun adds highlights to the house's lines and spaces.

This was one of the first ever 240kV circuits built in the province from the now decommissioned Wabamun generating station and the city of Edmonton. The line has the old single conductor configuration.

Old Hwy 111

Outside of El Centro, CA

One of the mismatched poles along this line. One of the few that actually has the 90's style triangle arm braces. A lot of them just have two poles and a crossarm. Not arm braces or pole braces.

This a common way that Entergy terminates their lines, with top mounted insulators. You can see ends like this from Baton Rouge on west into Texas.
