As I was driving around I couldn´t help thinking that these powerpoles would look good as a HDR against the blue partly cloudy evening sky.... It would have been nice if the moon was bigger and higher on the sky, but you can´t have it all.....
This is the only 69KV line I've ever seen on Cleco's grid. They purchase power from LUS to feed the neihboring city of Breaux Bridge.
The 1071L/1072L circuits branch off here to the Castle Rock Ridge Substation connected to wind generation.
These crossarms have been flexed and breaking for over 5 years now. I've been waiting for them to either replace them or for them to snap.

The "Inventory" section of Eureka: An Architectural Review (© 1987) describes the house as a "two-story frame Queen Anne Colonial revival house with decorative brackets at bay and classically inspired porch."
I love how the slanting sun adds highlights to the house's lines and spaces.

Adding some recent photos I took. This was taken in the SF Bay Area while commuting a month and half ago. I liked how the power lines traversed across the landscape.
This was one of the first ever 240kV circuits built in the province from the now decommissioned Wabamun generating station and the city of Edmonton. The line has the old single conductor configuration.
One of the mismatched poles along this line. One of the few that actually has the 90's style triangle arm braces. A lot of them just have two poles and a crossarm. Not arm braces or pole braces.
