I got two PowerBook 2400c now - one Japanese and one American. The Japanese PowerBook is running fine but the American is not.
Both of them are running a 603e 180MHz Processor, 80MB RAM and 1.3GB HD.
I was bored and keep on pressing the Power Management Reset button on the American but it still shows the Green Light Of Death, so I closed the lid (hardly) and it chimes... then booted!
Um, don't know why it crashed after playing for awhile and it sleeps again.
Pinstripe Powerbag for the Titanium Powerbook made by my mom. With the ability to carry A4 paper in its sleeve and a subtle floral pattern on its inner lining. More Info
I got my Ubuntu Linux CDs (PowerPC version) in the post today. One is an installer disc, the other a 'Live CD' which means you can run Ubuntu off the disc, to trial it without installing it. I've been wanting to get an installation of linux for testing (apparently you can use SVG format for app icons, which would be great for Firefox).
This screen represents my first experience of Linux.
You gotta laugh. Somehow I don't think I'll be a switcher!
My pal donna a night after i got my little shiney friend. it looks like her face is glowing blue on the cheek cause shes on the phone calling a cab.
Got my hands on a "new" old iBook G3 600mhz. I'll be putting Debian on it to replace my aging white box Linux server. Of course, I'll still have OSX on my PowerBook.
This is from my aging powerbook.
Note the difference in battery capacity between my machine and Omni's much newer machine.
...my current G3-iBook needs a replacement baaaad... the replacement is parked next to it (picked it up just today) :-)
Something which can't be seen in this pic is that it has minor damage, something I can fix myself though. But I need to do more to it than only some fixing cause I really can't walk around with a stock 12" powerbook, now can I... ? ;-)
It still works fine, and all three of my power adapters still fit and make contact fine, the case is just bent as well as the plug.
Don't put your computer on the arm of your couch and then proceed to fall asleep on said couch. You tend to kick things off the arms of the couch. Not good.
I'm not sure why I keep taking these photos, I just love the masses of macs we get in. I miss the quirky machines like the flowerpot iMac on the left, instead of the reams of fairly dull laptops.
It's like Mac top trumps, I'm hoping to get a clamshell original iBook in eventually. Tragically.

Mon pb était dans ma malette.
Ma malette, sur mon épaule.
La courroie lâche soudainement.
La malette tombe sur le trottoir.
PAF.
L'ordi fonctionne toujours...
Mais impossible de brancher le power supply, même après avoir repoussé le métal tordu avec des pinces.
Il me reste 41 minutes de jus.
Question: est-ce réparable???
===
Is this repairable?
The pb still works, but I'm unable to connect the power supply!!!
