Happy Macro Monday!
A while ago my Powerbook screen started acting up... every now and then the bottom third of the screen flickers and vanishes, and the rest of the time when the bottom third is visible, a green line a pixel wide can be seen about a third of the way from the left edge.
Unfortunately, the guarantee has just ran out, and I've been told it will cost about 350 pounds to replace the screen. No AppleCare.
Oh, and on top of that, I dropped it.
The worst thing is, I cant bare the idea of being without it for any amount of time!
My trusty old-skool PowerBook G3 (Lombard). Still works. Sort of. Not really. It has its good days and bad days.
Seriously, one of my old Powerbook mac screen is dead! And nothing is pink for real in this photo. :-)
For the Pretty Pink Themed Tuesday - [Mar 31st : Pretty Pink Post-Its]
NOTE:
1. Background is a white foam board.
2. I used my Canon 50mm F1.4, Canon flash 580EX (bouncing the light) and stood on a chair while I took the picture.
3. The Post-it notes was white.
4. In photoshop, the photo was the background layer.
5. Fill layer 1 with color #ff99cc and set blending mode to overlay and 100% opacity
6. Fill layer 2 with color #ff99cc and set blending mode to multiply and 40% opacity

The keyboard is toast. I have all of the keys. Now I need to figure out what to do with them. Doing work on Viddyou using an old keyboard plugged into the PowerBook. Lameness.

Yes, it all fits in there. Actually there are a few things not pictured like my GPS which was in the car and my pack of charged batteries.

It really isn't as overloaded as it seems. Most of this stuff is light and compact and I keep it fairly organized. This bag has become a faithful companion to me. The only things that arent in the picture are the camera, a zippo, a retractable ipod sync cable and a madsonline "lucile" Powerbook charger which hopefully will be coming in the mail shortly. Let me know what you think!

Don't worry, it's just an illusion, the exposure is timed with a flash, to allow the object to show up clear and a moving lighter nearby to be invisible!
Setting up the new home-office. 2 PCs, plus powerbook. Things are still a bit of a mess, but getting there.
