I know this one most of you have seen before - but I decided to do a little more playing around with it for different effects and save a new copy - since it's one of my favorites.

I just got back from a quick desert trip and I'm looking forward to skiing, tomorrow. It's not going to look like this but I don't mind groomer cruiser days. This was last Sunday morning, bluebird powder conditions and this skier just landed a 30-foot cliff drop and rode this powder wheelie out after he popped out of the snow. I don't usually like ski "wheelie" photos but it's impossible not to love this one. You can feel the stoke :-)
Our visit to the Hagley Museum put us in the middle of gunpowder history. In 1802 Dupont he sited and began building the mill along the Brandywine River near Wilmington. Brandywine River Powder Mills produced its first gunpowder in 1803. Started as a large-scale, sophisticated manufactory, Brandywine maintained operations for 119 years. The Brandywine River Powder Mills performed shell loading and some smokeless nitrations during World War I. On this property there are 8 rolling mills water wheel & water turbine in different degrees of decay. Brandywine Creek on one side and a man-made water sloth on the other side of the mills kept the powder yard safe from the risk of explosion.

When I moved to Florida it was a bit daunting to learn the names of all the new plants, birds and animals.
I like this one; it's self- explanatory.

Sunset powder is sure a fine way to close out the day. And if you ski with Carl Simpson and Tara Simpson be sure to bring your flashlight because it's sure to be a day lived to it's full potential, plus some.
This is an older shot I took a few seasons back. I was asked to rework it for a company that used it and decided to repost this version (as it nicely highlights the powder we consistently get in Niseko during the Season!).

Thought I had better post something this week as I have been awol again. Apologies for that, just been so busy that my flickr time is pretty limited right now.
Good news, an image of mine has been featured in a rather posh designer furniture book, the designer (Mark Wilkinson) creates the most amazing and desirable kitchens, bathrooms and offices for the rich and famous. So who knows maybe someone famous will look me up now!!
