Macro Monday's Theme 30 May 2022. This is vegetable protein powder that we have in our thick breakfast shakes, made with Soy Milk and sliced bananas, every morning since 1990. The only time we wouldn't have this drink is when we're away for a short break. It's coupled with a fresh vegetable juice drink made from carrots, beetroot and celery with a touch of root ginger. Yum

Turmeric - Chili Powder - Ground Coriander- Star Anise, all stars of an Indian Curry. I try to cook a curry every Saturday and I simply love the way all the flavours blend into something quite delicious be it beef, chicken, lamb or vegetable.

I love the pastel colors on these birds and how one color gradually changes to another.

We had 40cm of fresh snow last Saturday in Whistler and this snowboarder is doing his best to enjoy the fresh!
This space in the original house was a pantry -- with the door on the tiled wall -- and about 20'' of the master bedroom foyer. A powder room was first built here during the 1992 remodel. As in the main bathroom, the big cabinet is a stock laminate item, while the light box, valance and medicine cabinet are custom maple.

Honestly, I forget what I did to make this look this way. I think I may have been trying to get the ground plane in focus, but instead I ended up with a slice of in-focus stone and a very soft image above and below. I think it's a cool effect regardless, so posting the shot up here.

I spent alot of the final day like this too.
Massive dump of snow overnight. Lifts didn't open until 10:30....we almost gave up & headed out for an early Channel crossing instead.
Between 2ft & 3ft of powder all over the mountain. I managed to spend alot of my time buried face down in it... a bit like Chris here.
Falling in powder with a snowboard is a pain..... On a "good" fall, I end up faceplanting & then my legs come right over me & I end up the right way up, but just covered in snow. On a "bad" fall I end up head down in a hole with my feet & board above me with no way of righting myself.... More exhausting recovering than doing the actual boarding !
