Apparently between the time I first walked past the giant sloth and the time I came back, someone decided he was not positioned properly and adjusted his posture.
Half Moon Posture, in Sanskrit called Ardha Chandrasana- is a standing balancing pose, that opens the hips and shoulders, increases focus, builds strength & stamina. The posture must be practiced on both sides of the body while holding for pose for several mindful steady breaths, called Ujjayi breathing. Half Moon is often confused with Warrior 3, both postures are standing balancing poses, however, the awareness must be brought to the position of the hips & shoulders (in this pose the upper hip is stacked over the bottom, not aligned square). The leg that is lifted rotates upwards, therefore, the lifted hip and the top shoulder open skyward. The Drishti/gaze is upwards, or towards the fingertips of the extended arm. This picture was taken in the backyard, where the uneven and slippery surface added a challenging element, but it's fun to add a bit of the challenge in the yoga practice; it keeps you humble, get's you laughing at yourself; don't take things so seriously, have fun!

No penséis mal. En esta ocasión quiero llamar la atención en las diferencias de aquellos que van a Guadalupe (Cáceres) como peregrinos a los que van al postureo propio de una boda
This one seemed to be 'the Boss', where he wandered, they all wandered. From a local flock of domestic geese that seem to have gone wild.
Today - I am celebrating Jeff Swanson. I want to thank Jeff for giving me the courage to f/it or jeff/it, for whatever reason. Your message is a true inspiration, and provided so much guidance recently. I also wanted to thank Jeff and Sam for reminding me to of inspiration that comes from the beauty around us - whether it be a sunrise, sunset or just appreciating the world around you. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to jump back in the photo world. Words can not describe my thanks - I wish I could give the thanks and inspiration that you truly deserve.
This image is from a short journey during my time in the south of France for a work engagement. Not only did I get to hang out with amazing/top conservation scientists from around the world, but I received a reprieve from my life.
In southern France, exist an amazing place - the Le Parc naturel régional de Camargue - a home to over 350 species of birds, both migratory and native. Among the many species are the greater flamingo- this is one brief encounter among many . . .

I think she was politely listening but maybe not at this point. Regardless I saw no pretentions here. I could be wrong but I'm reading confident, poised, self possessed and comfortable in her own skin. It was that confidence I hoped to capture.
For you FKP viewers, I used a Flash and Nikon D90 with my own technique.
Thanks for looking.
