Seen on this friendly Goose at a local Nature Reserve,

This new plant in our garden seemed dormant for some time, then it began to produce one passion flower per week and now it gives several at a time.

The bees seem unable to understand the intricate structure of the flowers which is perhaps why the plant has produced no fruit.

La photo de rue, ce n'est pas tant une photo de la banalité qu'une photo de la cocasserie anodine...

Et en l'occurrence, la première source de cocasserie, ce sont les postures de nos amis badauds et travailleurs dans le "bon" contexte... :-))

Sometimes it seems that Swallows never stop to perch, but that was not the case for this Barn Swallow at Huntley Meadows Park. It perched right on the boardwalk railing and didn't seem to mind me being there at all.

Previously unpublished archive shot from July 2018. Directly behind me was a gathering of far right extremists and a counter rally of anti-fascists. Needless to say there was a large police presence and a lot going on. I wonder what this guy was capturing.

Male European red deer have a distinctive roar during the rut, which is an adaptation to forested environments, in contrast to male American elk stags which "bugle" during the rut in adaptation to open environments. The male deer roars to keep his harem of females together. The females are initially attracted to those males that both roar most often and have the loudest roar call. Males also use the roar call when competing with other males for females during the rut, and along with other forms of posturing and antler fights, is a method used by the males to establish dominance.[11] Roaring is most common during the early dawn and late evening, which is also when the crepuscular deer are most active in general.
