Old Freak Street’s history and central position in the heart of Kathmandu still makes it a popular destination among the locals. The roads are paved with big flat stones, shops are crammed with art from all over Nepal, ancient books, their are tattoo shops and the valley’s best shopping destination New Road is nearby. Once labeled as being a place to find enlightenment, a lot of things have changed with time since the deportation of the hippies in the early 1970s.This ancient street was named Freak Street, after the hippies, it is now named Old Freak Street since the place is unlike it used to be back in 1960s. This place is now just a mythical magnet for hippies and other social deviants of the 1960s. Cheap guest houses, trekking agencies, shopping centers, souvenir shops, restaurants are the businesses the local entrepreneurs have adopted after the banning of cannabis in Nepal.

As part of the Génération Equality Forum, the Ministry of Women, Family, Gender and Child Protection with the support of UN Women WCARO organized a forum dedicated to young people to allow them to share their initiatives and recommendations, and prepare their interactions with the other stakeholders of the Generation Equality Forum in order to consolidate their position on the Beijing review agenda. The Youth Forum was a national event to galvanize action by youth from all sectors, in favor of advancing the gender equality agenda. The orientations of this youth will be able to influence policies in their favor and particularly the new holistic program represented by action coalitions.

The star Capella, from our position in the UK, is low in the sky now, (in August). It is very twinkly and twinkles with very strong colour variations. I have read the cause of this is being low, its light must pass through a lot of our atmosphere before it reaches our eyes, but it does this successfully because it is such a bright star. I wanted to try and show the colour and hit upon the idea of panning on it, in order for it to leave a trail, which should be colourful. Panning turning into ICM (in camera movement) drawing.
