AFTER BEING PUSHED IN: Treading water is much harder in jeans, long sleeve shirt, sports coat and boots. The socks, belt and hat just round out the outfit.

Day 6

Many, many pools on this trip. It was just so darn hot that we needed them for survival - plus the kids love them.

Jack actually got more comfortable - at least in any pool that had a 3 written by it.

Pool Party, Welcome Week, Monday, Aug. 19, 2019.

This was for a friends 40th birthday. Had a bit of a mental block when i started doing this but am happy with the end result.

2nd cake out of 3 a few days before jumping on the plane to Mallorca with my sister for a kids and husband free week in the sun!!! Back to reality with a bump this week!!

A pool (that probably has a name, though I don’t know it) right between Strokkur and Geysir.

A pool of unbelievable blueness. The colours in this picture are more or less straight from the camera. No HDR’ing, only a small amount of contrast and saturation tweaking.

This area is called the natural pool. You can see that the people are a long way from the shore, but the water only comes up to their waists.

A group of Tiger Swallowtails including mostly Yellow but also some Spice Swallowtails Sips a patch of damp soil. Butterflies pool or congragate like this group to extract needed minerals and salts from damp soil. May 2011
